Romulan ship won't move forward in sector space

So I get to Centurion 1, get my shiny new warbird, head out to sector space, set throttle to full and reach a speed of: Warp 0.
The ship turns, but won't move forward or backwards, and thanks to my getting pushed back by another player ship spawning in, I can't get back to the flotilla.
Yes I have a singularity core in place, yes there are impulse engines as well.
Might be related, but I also have the skill point invalid bug mentioned in another thread...
