SO yes, WE ARE BETTER THEN YOU!

    1. I totally agree you are entitled to whatever you were promised in regards to your LTS.

    2. I really hope the sentence quoted above is a case of bad wording and not a case of you actually believing the amount of money you spend on this game is proportionate to your worth as a human being.

I was a subscriber before the game went F2P. I'm silver now. I have no idea how much I've spent, but I also have no idea what that makes me. Am I a freeloader? Like you, I spent money at first, but I don't spend much now. You've probably spent significantly more than me. So if that makes you better than me, am I better than people who subbed for a month less than me before going Silver?

Just trying to figure out where I stand on this hierarchy of awesome.

Again, I really hope you mean something other than what that sentence suggests you mean.

Actually using the brutal facts of commerce, LTs have already been releaved of their money, It's the subscribers they should be catering to now.

Hi, I am one of the F2P "freeloaders" that some of the Elitists complain about.

I do surveys and grind Dil to get Zen.

I work on a fixed income...

Oh and I play this on a Toshiba NN550 Netbook because that is all I can get to play it on.

Now please elitists...tell me to go home while you drool over the X-bone and it's TV and ability to Go Home and all it's Call of Doggy.

I love STO and the only time I have EVER engaged in anything close to crying foul on something is when I calmly suggest that EVERYONE get some free Zen to buy something or free Master Keys for Lock Box opening. But I am not going to complain if this does not happen as they are still trying.

You were all told this launch would bring up issues. Now I am not sure what bugs some of you refer too from closed Beta but the Tribble Server can never replicate the load the Holodeck gets.

So yeah, not all of us "Freeloaders" F2P people are lazy.

For me personally i've been a lifer since beta, and i'm not usually one to think i'm entitled to anything but my opinion. The problem though is that i actually totally am entitled to more. Any one with an LTS during year one is. We weren't sold the LTS as just "no monthly fees", but there was an entire package deal included out of which we only received 3 things and one was made a vet reward for all gold. We were promised a lot to get the initial life time subscriptions as well as the promise of more on the way, a promise they only took off the sales page less than a year ago. Not just the Sub free gaming, not just the Borg character, or the stipend, but our own space station, chat channels, they were hyping a lot of stuff coming down the pipeline if you bought the Lifetime subs. The fact that Cryptic made a lot of promises and didn't keep any of them is why some lifers are well with in their rights to feel entitled. Like always, cryptic made promises and hype that they couldn't keep so they just swept it under the rug and pretended like it didn't happen.

I don't complain, because as most people say, it's paid for itself. I've got my money's worth out of it and i'm content and still buying from the C-store with real money. I constantly put money into the game despite my dislike of what Cryptic does some times (just look at poor Champions online) but at the same time there are a lot of reason to be considered before people make posts claiming they deserve something or claiming others deserve nothing. It's a fine line and yet sadly it's one Cryptic still manages to hide behind when it suits them.

Am i entitled? Yes. Do i go about flailing in and demanding more? No. As i see it, A lot more people should be angry at whats going wrong in the game and not what's going wrong with them not getting their way.

The problem is that since this game went f2p they needed more incentive to go gold, so they get priority login too along with LTS. This is one of the things keeping me gold. LTS is useless if STO dies, so be glad that one of those former LTS only perks like priority login is keeping gold subscribers and the game funded.

LTS still logs in fast, it has priority over silver, just not priority over gold anymore.

Gold get's priority login in a queue, but Lifers are supposed to bypass ALL queues, they are to NEVER wait in line.

That's what was in the "Perks Package" when it was sold to us.

Nothing of the sort was ever said or implied as being sold to anyone. What you are describing is not even possible, short of kicking someone else off that is logged on at the time that you try to log on as a lifetimer. Do I need to tell you what that would lead to?

There are a finite amount of people that can connect to a server at one time, thats simple hardware limitations. There will always be a queue to some degree
The Demos I know have been severely limited, either containing only a few levels and lacking certain key items.
STO by my definition is not at all a demo... It's a full game, that you can play for free... Thats what I call generous.

playing for free when the game is free to play is not generous, its their business model
I know for a fact that there are people out there who have never spend a single cent on Zen, and never converted the least part of Dil into Zen either.

    I very much doubt that
And your not aware of contract law, you cannot change a service contract without at least notifying the customer, now you can create a loaded acceptance by saying.

"by continuing to use this service you are agreeing to the changes" or something to that effect.

Actually you can't do that, companies have tried and have been successfully sued for it. But thats another topic entirely
    some of us even

D: drove to a state where there was a Del Taco at 3 am just to get the Del Taco shuttle codes for himself and his friends. and did so with a smile on his face and the TNG theme song in his heart.

These few precious people have literally sunk thousands into this game.

SO yes, WE ARE BETTER THEN YOU!

    drop the elitist atttiude
you may not be, but generally, if you play this game for free, and purchase all your C-store items with Dilithium trading instead of buying Zen, then yes, you ARE a freeloader.

No, you're not. Someone has to pay for that zen you're buying before they use or or trade it to someone else. You're using something that you paid for via trade. Therefore you are not a freeloader.
