paying a monthly sub and waiting inline behind free players to get on a full server?

    Gold players don't wait behind Silver, but they do wait behind other Golds. If you're in a queue it's because other Golds are ahead of you. Gold don't avoid queues. They just get preferrential treatment.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    Gold players wait behind us lifers, and I am in queue, so it's a bunch of lifers ahead of me, then you golds, then the freepers.

    Paying does not mean you do not queue. It means you queue with other pay players ahead of the silvers.

    WTF I just changed characters and now I get a login queue? The worst part is that my position in the queue doesn't change, it just gets bigger behind me, lol.

    Because the queue comes when you try to go in to the actual game, not just login.

    the whole queue thing is kinda dumb, they should have servers enough to handle everyone with all the cash they are raking in.

    Well I'm silver, and when I got in the queue I started at 341 of 2000-odd, or somesuch. And it IS going down, at 21 now.

    Am I getting the preferential access because I'm an ex-gold from before F2P or what? :P

    The game doesn't differentiate between Lifer and Gold. To the game they're both just Golds, and queue the same way.

    OK, this is bad..... I am current free silver player but going to get life membership when I get my salary at the end of the month.

    This is not looking good....... Maybe I should hold on till things stabilise.

    if you're that impatient to get on, simply wait a while before things die down. Do something else for the time being until the queues become manageable and the long waits are gone

    Aww, I paid for stuff at the cstore, should I get cuts next? Wait your sub clearly states what it pays for if you felt it entitled you more, well you should quit now, and try one player games again. Pretty sure waiting in line doesn't breach your paid agreement with them, so you may get a refund but not entitled to it. If you do see if you can scam me a rebate on some of the stuff I bought I will still play the game like you probaly will next week or month. I will even take cstore credit to get more stuff.

    Even with sub only games your gonna get lines after what happened today, welcome to the world of MMOs, and surprise oh TRIBBLE first big patch day maintenance. Its been around for over a decade.

    How come my number in the queue doesn't go down? I just see the amount of people waiting go higher and higher but nothing for my number going down!!!!

    I'm currently 1211 and it hasn't moved for the last 10 min

    It is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE for a subscriber or a Lifetime Membership to have to wait in line behind free players. Otherwise, what is the point in paying? If Cryptic has no respect for people who are PAYING to play this game, why should they expect continued financial support?

    Priority Queues. Make it so.

    No where in the info for lifers do they say you will have priority que's.

    And unless you see something no one else does you can't tell if they are free to play or sub or lifers.

    Yo Real talk, I'm a life time sub and tbh We should be able too "jump" the Q As we have paid to be lifetime subbed to this game. I seriously doubt that 400 <-- Started here. Lifetime Subbers were in front of me. waiting behind Free or Gold Members shouldn't happen lets be real here.

    Wait subs actualy do get a cut inline, those guys ahead of you are gold peeps, so well unless you want to money fight canceling your sub puts you even further back when you get this rage out of your system and come back to the game pretending nothing happened.

    Except for this is how it should have been 13 hours ago. Rolling logins helps stabilize the server. Yea it sucks; but then you don't have 7 hours of unplayability that way.

    The 6000 or so in que makes me wonder if they reduced the server capacity in the hopes of getting rid of the earlier stability/logon issues.
