on ESD talking about who to cast as who in a TNG JJ style reboot. Some of my favorites here.
Vin Disel as Picard
Charlie Sheen as Rikeer
Ron Pearlman as Worf
David Spade as Data
Samuel Jackson as La Forge
Katy Perry as Trio
Joan Cusack As Dr. Crusher
Ellen Degeneres as Tasha Yar
Micheal Cera as Wesley
Johan Hill as Chief O'Brien
Seth McFarlene as Spot

Al Pacino as Q
Q as Chuck Norris
Clint Eastwood as a Klingon on the High council
Arnold Schwarzenegger as a Borg Drone
Rebecca Romijn as the Borg Queen

Alternatively, I love the IDea of Samuel Jackson as Sisko "I'm tired of these mother******* Prophets on my mother****** station!"

    Picard a 15 year old boy who was thrown out of the academy for fighting
    Data an edgy heavily armed combat unit covered in armour
    Riker metro sexual 17 year old
    Geordi A 19 year old white girl
    Deana a 20 year old bay watch babe type with an IQ of 12
    Dr crusher a six foot amazon with an assault rifle
    Wesley crusher a man of 30 oldest cast member
    Worf a genetically enhanced romulan
    Live long and Prosper

    Picard - Patrick Stewart - Seriously he looks exactly the same as ever and no one can replace him.
    Riker - Christian Bale
    Data - Tom Hiddleston
    Worf - Dennis Haysbert
    La Forge - Jamie fox
    Crusher - Elizabeth Mitchell
    Troi - Mila Kunis
    Yar - Scarlett Johansson
    Guinan - Halle Berry
    Wesley - Daniel radcliffe

    Would probably be the most expensive cast in history though.

    I know rite! Picard would never do anything rash and stupid like that. Cause he's cool hand Jean Luc, from the vineyards of France. As English as the french can make 'em with nary an aggressive bone in his body.

    TNG:
    Picard - Jean-Claude Van Damme. Aging J-C with his accent would do well as picard, and he can fight as well.
    Riker - Joseph Namakaeha Momoa. Let him grow his beard and then you got yourself a great strong riker.
    Data - Christoper O'Donnell. Just for the stare like an android, besides both Chris and James work well together.
    Worf - Mark Sinclair Vincent. Vin Diesel as he was during riddick was perfect, add something like that to worf... :D
    Yar - Jennifer Lawrence. I can see Jen doing this role without a problem and she looks good as well.
    Troi - Michelle Keegan. raw sex appeal, can play the councellor role even if Michelle's acting is wooden.
    Beverly - Angelina Jolie. Angie would be perfect for the role of a supportive mother and doctor.
    Wesley - Justin Beiber. "Shut up wesley!" need i say anymore? :D
    Geordi - James Todd Smith. LL Cool J would add some humor to the element, personality, some muscle and his engineering abilities.

    old Soong - Mark Hamil. Mark would make a great old villain at the end of his time.

    This is my Reboot of TNG and i shall call it

    Star Trek : That other generation


    Cpt Picard === Mike Myers (Common no one does a strange bald guy better)

    Cmdr Riker === Chuck Norris (Well since picard makes riker do all the fighting)

    Lt Cmdr Data === Vin Diesel ( this would be an odd duck )

    Worf === A random angry midget

    La Forge === Samuel L Jackson (Because we need a mother ***** engineer down in the mother ****** engine room and some mother ***** already put samuel L as sisko on this mother **** thread )

    Crusher === Lyndsey Lohan (maybe this could work if you can keep her out of the painkillers and hypo sprays)

    Troi === Kim Kardashian ( and somewhere an angry mob of trekkies is out for my magic blood)

    Yar === Dolph Lundgren (Oh common you have to see the resemblance)

    Guinan === Niki Minaj ( Ok so this cast of characters needed a professional clown and i provided)

    Wesley === Justin Bieber ( Just so we can hate wesley even more )

    Spot === Charlie sheen ( Idk this just dont seem right but it is funny)

    Random redshirt #1 === seth mcfarlane ( yeah he doesnt survive)

    Sisko === Dave Chapelle ( since someone already came up with samuel l jackson for sisko i had to put chapelle here instead of la forge) )

    Q ===== David Spade ( Idk his sarcasm seems right for this )

    Worf - Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson
    La Forge - With a name like Geordi he could be cast as a female role and I think that would be an interesting spin on the character
    Crusher - Gwyneth Paltrow
    Troi - Katherine Hiegel
    Yar - Michelle Rodriquez (cast to type)
    Guinan - Janet Jackson
    Wesley - Shia Lebouf
    Borg Queen - Charlize Theron

    The only glaring problem with all this speculation is that If JJ continues with the current quality of Star Trek movies there will not ever be a Next Generation reboot as it would be entirely unnecessary.

    She was always a Commander in TNG because she was a senior doctor. Troi on the other hand was a Lt. Cmdr until she passed her exam.

    Sean Bean doesn't die in every movie. In Ronin he was just made to look like an TRIBBLE and sent away in shame. And then in 300 he was the only one who didn't die...
