They should make some all frigates generic to all true carriers. Or at least make a new frigate that is generic but in the lobi/z store/ whatever store
I have a simple question about the bugship....why is it not in the C-Store?
Since it is such a sought after ship due to its awesome dps and taking possibilities, why hasn't cryptic/pwe cashed in on it?
Because everyone who spend bazillon of dollars to get it ... would be pretty pissed and never buy any Lockbox Keys and stuff ... why should they, if you just have to wait for the 20$ C-Store Version ...
You'll have to wait for the next Duty Officer Promo to "buy" it ... and spend 100's of bucks on Doff Packs ... that's the way it's "intended" :P ... it's not like they're not makig money with DOFF Promos, Lockboxes etc ... so they're already cashing in on it ...

I'd certainly buy it.
Because of a bit of their contract with CBS that required them to place non-faction aligned ships which are available crossfaction (Bug, Galor, et al) only in Lockboxes and not sell them in the C-Store.
If you feel Keel'el's effect is well designed, please, for your own safety, be very careful around shallow pools of water.
I compared the JHAS with the fleet defiant, Breen and Fleet ADV Escort.
The only thing I see that is better is the turn rate and maybe the universal boff stations.
The fleet Tactical Escort compares every closely with it and in my opinion the bug is only marginally better.
Is that marginal difference worth 400+ Million EC?
Some people it is, some people have to squeeze every little decimal of stats out of their gear. The Engineering ensign is better than the tac ensign, the bug has a bit more hull and shields, not to mention a whole 3 points of turning.
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power

You obviously need to look at them all again. There is only one ship close to it and thats the fleet patrol escort. Its not just the turn rate, it is everything.

I will not deny that it is better, but is it 400 Million better?

To some people, it is. A lot of gamers live and die by min/maxing their stats, in whatever game they play. They're willing to go through ridiculous lengths for marginal stat gains.
From their point of view, all the marginal bonuses add up to a huge boost -- the JHAS by itself may not be a large boost, but on top of all Mark XII very rare consoles, [Acc]x3 weapons (or [Acc]x2 [Dmg]x1 Fleet weapons), the very best Very Rare Doffs, Boffs with the perfect passives (like Efficient), etc... it adds up to a much more powerful ship than, say, a FTER with Mk XI very rare consoles, whatever Mk XII DHCs they can afford on the Exchange (with usually no more than one [Acc] bonus), blue Doffs, and people still using just any old Boffs.
I will not deny that it is better, but is it 400 Million better?
I have one. I can't decide to sell it or use it.
I had extra zen after buying the armitage last year. So, I bought two gamma officer doff packs.I got one opening the second pack. They were a rare sight at the time.I spent a week trying to decide if I should sell it, or open it.I opened it, and I don't regret that decision. Its just pew-pew awesome. If you have one, and a TAC VA, I say open it!

I got 2 of them when they came out at first for Xmas. Wish I had kept one boxed up to sell for big bucks! But instead it's gathering dust in my engineering toon's ship garage. Cryptic should make up a 'reboxing' service for 500 Zen. I'd do it in an instant!

You might be selling the universal boffslots short. They enable considerably more flexibility. There's a reason Birds of Prey sacrifice so much to get them, and the JHAS doesn't appear to sacrifice anything for its two LT universal boff stations.
The turning rate is the highest of any escort in the game. Only thing that turns faster is the BoPs, and they simply cannot compare when it comes to a face-to-face confrontation.
It also is the fastest moving ship in the game. Think about that. It's moving faster than the BoPs and faster than the Steamrunner. That alone adds to its ability to speed-tank and also out-turn everything, and also makes it hard to escape from. I have trouble keeping up with the buggers in my Hegh'ta, which has an RCS console on it.
On top of that, you have the 5th tactical console. Despite what some might think, that console makes a big difference. It's one of three escorts (the other two are Fed only) that have a 5th tactical console.
So, to recap: The JHAS is the fastest moving and turning, the most flexible, and thus the hardest hitting escort in the game. As others have said, the only thing that comes close is the Fleet Patrol Escort, and that thing can't really keep up turning-wise and doesn't quite match up DPS-wise (due to only 4 tac consoles). The Fleet Advanced Escort and Fleet Tactical Escort Retrofit are good, but not an even match for a JHAS.
My PvP toon is Krov, of The House of Snoo. Beware of my Hegh'ta of doom.

While I like flying my bugship you should just destroy any spares. Most of ours were destroyed in response to bad roleplaying as you can see in the following video. Twenty destroyed at one time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pI8rvD_uM0U
Oh I forgot to say. You don't need all fancy gear for it to be effective. I fly mine with a bunch of green consoles fitted.

I find it hard to believe you're busy deleting JHASs all the while flying around in green consoles. Obvious trolling is obvious.
Being able to correctly slot boff and weapons and you're ahead of 95% of players. Five green tactical consoles, just for your information. All members get a bugship.
Starfleet Dental is waging a war on bugships and we won't stop until they're all gone.
Either way there's no need for your trolling romuzarii.

A very good question, especially when you consider the topmost players have also invested another few hundred Mil EC into their bugships with top of the line MK 12 purple consoles. Some go for a measly 10 mil or so, but things like Field Gens and tac damage consoles go for outrageous amounts.
When my friend got one from a doffpack she traded it for several other lockbox ships and a hefty EC sum of a little under 100 mil. I think that's probably the best way to use a bugship unless you are a super hardcore PvPer.

and if you are a hardcore pvper you will get a sci ship/carrier like 90% of the ships you see around in pvp .

Because Cryptic will make more money off of this single, high demand item, by making it even more rare than a lockbox ship and by limiting its availability to special events.
Or they just/will released an even more OP ship...
:eek::eek::eek:
Don't even think that thought!

Lockbox ships are ships that should never belong in 25th Century Starfleet or KDF. If the ship belongs in the 25th Century Starfleet or KDF, then it is put in the C-Store or available for free. Since the bugship belongs to an alien empire that has no diplomatic relations with the Federation or Klingon Empire, then it should never be available through the C-Store. Besides if it costs $25 on the C-Store, then a ton of people would be ticked off since they paid hundreds of dollars on it.

No, no, very bad idea. There are way too many as it is.
It wasn't an ide. It was a question.
And I answered the question in the first part of my post.

The keys to open it are in the c-store.

I wouldn't say that 90% of players use sci ships... more like 3 out of 5!
Still the other 2 out of 5 tend to be in bugships or BoPs.... its just more of those incredible coincidences!
Because Cryptic will make more money off of this single, high demand item, by making it even more rare than a lockbox ship and by limiting its availability to special events.
Because it does not belong to any faction that is playable in STO, it's a Dominion ship.
Also, believe me Cryptic/PWE has cashed much more on it the way it has been offered rather than putting it in the C-Store.
Now, I wonder what could possibly be more op.
