It seems that Tribbles have gotten into the network hardware at our data center, and all Cryptic games and services are affected. We have Engineers on site who are working to.. well... remove the Tribbles ;) Thanks for your patience.

    Cheers,

Title says it all. Bad move on a companies part to host two network based games on the same system. You should never have all of your online games go down at the same time. So apparently Neverwinter crashed and now STO does the same thing.

hmm would the bottlneck that seems to be happening be caused by all games using the same login server, I know we have gone over this b4 but experiencing brain fade today

Is it just me, or does it seem that this started with the opening of Neverwinter? I've been playing for about 2 years a lifer for most of that time, and this is the worst I remember it being. May be they're just pushing their system too hard.

Oh dear, another Cryptic failure. You know, I have been playing this game on and off since its launch. In all that time you would have thought that investing money in decent servers may have been a priority. Or at least properly fixing the ones that you have installed already, instead of 'papering over the cracks'. I was in the middle of a mission and guess what, I was booted out. Another emergency maintenance session is about to unfold me thinks. Just saying :)

Don't worry Bran, the STO community is on the case.

We've found the problem - you're running three high-demand games on one server, and it can't handle data of this magnitude.

Seriously. This is now a reccurring problem, which brings down all Cryptic-run games when it happens. You cannot keep telling us that this isn't due to all those games being hosted from one server and expect us to believe that the same error is affecting three different games on seperate servers at exactly the same time.

Those kind of coincidences to not happen in reality. Only in the movies.

lol I think they know that ,but you dont want them to say "hellooo we too cheap to get hardware for all games " :D

Well, I spent the morning patching so I could play on Tribble this afternoon. Hmmm...seems to be 'business as usual'. Was going to LTS right after LoR launched, been playing long enough I like the game a lot. But there has been a little too much of this lately. If my business took care of its customers in a similar fashion, we'd all be in the unemployment line faster than McCoy can whistle 'Dixie'.

This is what happens when all your games are on one server and one of them is in open beta. If you want to show PWE that Cryptic needs the money for more servers than stop login in and send an e-mail to PWE.

    Dear PW & Cryptic,
Please close Neverwinter online until you can get your servers worked out. By running them both the way you are you're alienating the fans you already have and aren't going to retain any new ones. I've played Neverwinter and enjoy it but I don't want it if its killing STO. Server downtime is now far to frequent and irregular. Gaming giants like WOW are losing millions of customers for the wide variety of F2P games available and these outages aren't putting you on the top of any lists. You deny they share servers but we all know when the issues began. I've spent more than enough money on this game to ask that it run consistently.

Sincerely, the self appointed/undisputed ruler of the world,
    Me

Please just remove the Server Status from the main web page. That is getting annoying now... Not being correct. Pretty much guess the server is down by not being able to connect to the game or launcher. To then go through the web site, saying 'online', to forums saying down..
