TrailTurtle Challenges Branflakes to a LiveStream Contest

That being said, we absolutely want to support the other Cryptic and PWE games, and will continue to do so. We've got a new game launched -- of course we're going to promote it. I firmly believe it's possible to play multiple games at once, and I'm a great piece of evidence in that direction.

As for STO's livestream being publicized... well, yes, there's a large audience that will check that out. That being said, I have a hunch that if we get enough weight going behind our CO livestreams, we'd have ample justification for getting some cross-publicity of our own.

How about it, Branflakes? Up for a livestream-off, see who's the biggest stream-worthy personality in the 'verse? :biggrin:

    Trailturtle is good people and all and he does what he can for that poor badly neglected game, but he's got nothin' on our BranFlakes. So I say let the games begin. Smash him with the might of the Federation/Empire/Republic B.

    I feel a little conflicted, I love both games, but I gotta go with my first love STO. Still more publicity for both games cannot be a bad thing.

    I'm conflicted, I've teamed with TrailTurle several times in Champions and I love Branflakes' videos.

    So <3 you both and I know it'll be great however it turns out. Still, I'm gonna side with TrailTurtle on this because #1 everyone here is on Branflakes side, and #2 I've actually teamed with him.

    Honestly, I believe TT has an advantage in this because he represents CO. I believe it's easier to represent STO at this time because you have more stuff to represent. Flying the flag for CO in a contest like this is more like Mad Max. It's being the Champion of The Wastelands....and that is no small trick.

    Course you all do realize that when this does "go down" and it is, indeed, "on" that NW will crash both games, right? ;)

    P.S. Interesting idea but how about Tumer as the referee? He would be impartial I believe. :cool:

    CO was horrible. It was horrible in beta. It was horrible at launch. It was horrible long after launch. It became even more horrible after it went F2P. I'm genuinely surprised people even still know what it is. Personally, I tried to burn it from my memory.

Whether the competition part will be for who does a better job, gets more viewers or something completely different we'll have to let them figure out.

    It's most definitely not horrible now. I've been playing since October and I thoroughly enjoy it. As I mentioned in a thread on the CO forums, I don't know of any other game that will let me play a 30-foot tall naked battle-bunny wielding a 17-foot sword that makes things explode in green flame. And that pretty much never gets old.

    I'm also not aware of any other MMO that has a mission you win by talking to the NPCs using local chat, not a pre-canned dialog tree.

    CO is a fun game, it's just that Cryptic doesn't do anything with it. I think the most they get over there anymore are some vehicles, lockboxes with vehicles, and maybe an odd event or two. It's bleak as hell, which is why I don't play it anymore. CO = maintenance mode.

    Ah, I see. Thanks for shedding some light, let us know once an exact time/date is set.

    I'm not sure what sort of experience Turtle has as I've never met him, but if he's anything like Brandon, who I have met, it should turn out to be an interesting challenge. I'm sure both have their advantages, we'll see how it plays out. :)
