Unabale to authenticate / Launch (Resolved!)

this is a new one for me.. the second the game launcher opens it either cant authenticate me when it does the game wont launch and there too it says cant connect to account server, how can i fix this?

    i cannot login to sto , sais unable to authenticate
    one may not always recieve what one expected

    neither can i; i enter my password and hit the login button, then i get 'Unable to authenticate' at the bottom left of the launcher

    I am having the same issue with the launcher. I enter my user name and password, and the launcher is unable to authenticate. What is up with the launcher?

    Multiple people now unable to login. I was logged in. I logged out to confirm issue, and wasn't able to. Issue confirmed. "Connection to account server timed out.".

    I am getting a similar error. The launcher comes up fine, but produces an Unable to authenticate error.

    Same here. I thought there was an issue with my user name and password. I hope Cryptic gets this resolved soon.

    Same here, unable to authenticate. Tried switching chars, and got kicked to this.

    unable to log in, was switching toons when it happened so did not lose anything, but servers are down.

    Oh come not this again. Every time they promise "new upgrades" to improve performance it just gets worse. Don't they have enough money from lockbox key sales to buy some decent hardware?
