Launcher down? (Resolved)

Its 2 days I can't play: I have to refine dilitium, fu**

1st - the launcher crashed
then - the connection itself crashed

God, every time i try to start that fu**ed launcher it happen.
DO SOMETHING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    My launcher also has worked ive posted a couple of times was told i had to wait for it to get fixed. its been almost 2 days for me as well. Got an immediate reply for that but still no response for my missing character that vanished between the cryptic - perfect world switch

    You know, there's a support section in this forum, that gets read by actual tech guys.
    My old (and now mostly obsolete) exploration suggestions thread. Give it a read. :)

    im having issues as well ive posted in 3 diffrent places n not got any feed back ive down loaded new patcher client. ive force verfied that some times makes it load it gets to connecting n sits n does nothing left 30 mins n it still not done any thing. i was downloading tribbles patch when server crashed yesterday so i think it might have F*^"%! up the game program some how might uninstall n reinstal it. fixed it last time when for some reason it refused to load one of my chars for a week after server crash when i was patching before.
    but i dont wont to do that again cos its a big down load.

    Have you run a tracert and nettest between you and the Server to see where the block might be?

    Have you disabled all your firewalls?

    Have you done a restart on your computer recently?

    Last year I had an incident where Cryptic changed the pathing to the Server in the launcher. My firewall permissions were set to the old pathing route, and thus my launcher could not get through my firewall to download anything from the Server as it didn't have new permissions. It would just sit there doing nothing. That might be something to look into as well.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    turned my firewalls off and checked ports and i still get the error game launcher cannot load and it shuts down. No issues prior to yesterday.

    Will this fix the constant Tribble crashes as well?

    Just tried to launch STO and got this message in the launcher window.

    The web site is currently offiline

    The web site is currently offline. We apologize for this temporary inconvenience and are working to return to service as soon as possible.



    Is anyone else getting this message when trying to launch STO?

    just did "ipconfig/flushdns"

    That seemed to fix it

    Was playing STO fine earlier this morning, had a server connection time-out when I tried to load into ESD, and now whenever I try to re-start the game, the Launcher either freezes up or gives me a white screen that says:
    The web site is currently offline

    The web site is currently offline. We apologize for this inconvenience and are working to return to service as soon as possible.

    So what's the deal, obviously this website is not offline.

    Account server seems broken, bypassing the launcher and starting the game directly results in login-error.

    Flushing DNS does not fix this

    15 minutes when they end maintenance at NW all should start again

    I cannot get online either, looks like a game issue now. I should have left the game running! Oh well. Something to do with the updates I should imagine.

    This is without doubt the game with the most server issues in the world ever. I think there should be some kind of award for that! LMAO... :D

    Thanks for putting this info on the STO HOME page in RED as you normally do during these issues. Oh wait, I'm being sarcastic, it's NOT there.

    Maybe you should put a maintenance tag on the STO HOME page so that people having this issue are aware that you guys are aware of it and do not add to this thread or add additional threads that would be unnecessary if you add the aforementioned item.

    working for me now. lets hope I don't get DC'd constantly or have super-lag cause of the NW people!
    Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.
