Warp plasma/theta no show?

I've seen it mentioned elsewhere but how annoying is this bug in PvP?
I'm actually concerned as well with the amount of people using it lately, do they know it doesn't show up for most? I suspect some of them do and use it as a cheap tactic, just like the BP bug, the older Tric bug etc.

Cryptic or whoever deals with that side of life, please for the love of god, sort the graphics out.

7/10 times, it doesn't show up for me.

Neither do some torps, GW/Tyken's, or anything else like that.

I think I'm gonna have a play with the graphics settings a bit.
It's only started happening to me since the last proper patch with the apparent repair of the Borg torps (which still haven't been sorted) so I can't see it being graphics settings unless the what 5-6 year old game is so badly optimised that it requires a machine more powerful than what I have to play it?
I doubt it.

It is a SERIOUS issue in this game, not just in PVE but even more so in PVP.

To make it even more clear, this bug has been around in this game since its release, it has never got fixed.

Go fiddle around with graphics settings all you want, it won't help.

Since DX9 vs DX11 doesnt seem to fix it either I bet its a bug in their game engine.

I am thinking, that this is not a bug - just the game engine isn't powerful enough, because the first times, you can see Warpplasma/Theta, but when there are more then 2-3, the engine is not powerful enough and you can't see Warpplasma/Theta.

Well I never used to get this issue until the last full patch.

More worryingly it seems, especially after tonights poor PvP show that a lot of 'higher' echelon fleets are knowingly using this as a tactic, with both theta and warp knowing full well that no one can see it.

That Im afraid is a really poor show.
