In this brand-new edition of Ask Cryptic, the STO Team delivers answers to player submitted questions.
These questions were asked last Thursday and Friday (4/18 and 4/19) in
this thread, as well as in our French and German forums. For this month, they were answered by various members of the STO team.

Any chance we can get a more solid answer on PvP, though? We've received the same "on the radar" answer since May of 2010...
Awoken Dead
Now shaddup about the queues, it's a BUG
Can someone explain why this has changed?
It?s delightful that Sela congratulates us when we reach a new rank, that we gained by obliterating her minions, ships and plans !
Liberated Borg Romulan Liberated Borg Romulan Liberated Borg Romulan *rocks back and forth*
:D

I am both surprised and delighted at the straight and succinct answer here. Great to see Roms getting there liberated Borg.
In a word, Fascinating. I hope this means we will get more in the Sela mystery and intrigue with regards to all the hanky panky Hakeev has been up to.
I can't wait to get into more of the Romulan Republic storyline, When is phase two of beta testing going to be?
While Denise voices Empress Sela, it's not Sela congratulating you. The voice just happens to be narrated by Denise Crosby.
Cheers,
Brandon =/\=
Wait for the Blogs, damn you !:D:o
But.... but.... *runs away crying*
*comes back triumphant* I don't care, it's Sela if I want her to be Sela !
Kind of like how spock congratulates us through time, space and reality?
STO Team: With the success of the Foundry, in many ways player authored missions has become the Exploration content within Star Trek Online. Now that Foundry missions offer valuable rewards, they are much higher quality episodes than the Genesis maps that were shipped at launch. Sometime in the next two years, we would like to leverage the popularity of the Foundry as a legitimate way to explore the galaxy.
The Foundry.
Sometime in the next two years.
That is disappointing.
Denise Crosby narrations for the Tau Dewa sector and the Romulan level up congratulations. That's just awesome!
Will there be any new Tholian events /stf's/ fleet actions etc to go with the Nakura marks. Even if not directly at launch? A new rep system needs at least one event new event i think.
Level 1-50 will be a serious grindfest again, like after launch.
It's such a shame that the question asked my my Fleet Leader resulted in such dissapointment. I sincerely hope this is rectified in the future and the Romulans get their own version of the MACO/HG gear.
As for the rest of of it, I am pretty satisfied - Confirmation of Female Remans, Liberated Borg Romulans, New KDF ships, Missions etc.
As for the talk of a Hugh-type Borg faction; Stop that. Right now. You know that the Cardassians are a more profitable option anyway.
Thank you, you have finally confirmed what I have been saying all along, the Romulan Republic is not a true faction, but a sub-faction of the Federation and KDF.
If it was a true faction then Romulans would not be split by an invisible line that divides the other 2 "factions".
Like an epohh and an alfa canine at once? Pretty please?
As far as I understand it, the main reason for the alliance is for Romulans to have access to the fleet advancement system. I don't see the point in playing as a Romulan if you want to fly a non-Romulan ship. And by dev definition, ships are not content.
Other than sharing the fleet advancement system, the Romulans are there own full faction. Yes the alliance prevents Romulans of differing alliances from teaming, but that doesn't make them not a full faction otherwise. A necessary evil. If we ever get a Romulan starbase that may change, but it has also been stated by devs that the main reason for not having 3 completely separate factions is to prevent 1vs1vs1 PvP. They just want red team and blue team.
I think you missed the part where the Klingons are getting a tutorial, new KDF specific episodes and adapted stories from the Cardassian front. The amount of episodes that They'll have in the end will be on par to the Romulans from what I see on Tribble.
Some how that is even more Intriguing. Does this Disembodied voice that is not Sela's have a character attached to it, or are we just being treated to more Denise Crosby goodness?
