I fly the Fleet Heavy Escort Carrier (w/Elite Scorpion Fighters). I have to say its survivability is impressive with the 2-part original Assimilated set.
1) Fleet Defiant
2) Fleet Excelsior
3) Soon I will also own the Fleet FAC
I must confess, I love the first two immensely and am hoping that the Fleet sovvie will be equally as rewarding. As much as the Fleet Defiant is fun, I am genuinely in LOVE with the Fleet Excelsior and am hoping that the FAC will be my soul mate! ;-)
Oh, I am a tac captain btw. Normally fly escorts (i.e. Mobius, Steamrunner, etc..) butt inevitably I am a Cruiser lover at heart.
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward." - Rocky Balboa (2006)
Can't remember the name of the ship, but fed side I have the Fleet Usheen. It's smaller than the Tac Escort Retrofit, but God do I love it, it's the closest thing feds have to the BoPs.
I've got two fleet ships, both for my Fed Science captain;
1.) Fleet Science Vessel Retrofit (Rhode Island Class)
2.) Fleet Advanced Research Science Vessel Retrofit (Nebula Class)
I love the design of the Nebula, so it was a must have and it's being turned into a healer/debuffer build at the moment. The Nova, however, is my favorite of the two. Having the Lt. Cmdr Tac slot makes for a small but powerful package.
You're just a machine. And machines can be broken.

If I played fed more, I would definitely invest more into the Fed Science Ships. Definitely. I love the mobility of the Nebula. If I could, I'd get every version of the Intrepid, and Nebula Classes.
My main (tac) uses, mood/what-I'm-doing-dependent;
1) Jem'Hadar Attack Ship (set up for tetryon weapons)
2) Multi-Mission Reconnaissance Explorer (torp boat/grav well)
3) Andorian Khyzon (set up for polaron)
4) Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier (plasma)
5) Fleet Defiant (critty alpha striker)
6) Fleet Prometheus (AOE/TBR for learning and eventually winning No Win Scenario.. if I could ever find a decent pug )
I have two other ships that are just sitting there, a (soon to be) Fleet Sovereign (no idea yet, might try an Aux2Bat Beam Overload build, and a Jem'Hadar Heavy Escort Carrier (no idea what to do with it whatsoever).
Fleet Tor'kaht (my baby KDF-side)
Soon MVAE (I like the versatility over the Defiant)
Seriously thinking about a Ning'tao
Someday Armitage and Regent (if I can find a T5 yard I can afford)

As soon as my fleet hits T5 shipyard... I am getting me a Fleet Assault Cruiser. Until then... I don't have a Fleet ship.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

Well for the KDF i use the fleet tor'khat, my evil kitty is a tac but boy does this destroy and tank equally! Any KDF player worth their honour needs this ship!
One toon used Fleet Escort at one point. Got bored, switched to Fleet Defiant. Got bored even faster than before. The only FED Fleet ship I MAY consider in the future is Fleet Adv. Escort, but only for old times sake and some diversity.
One of my KDF characters used Fleet Vor'Cha, which was an extremely nice ship to play with, being an awesome mixture of a tank and dps. Still, switched it for Jem'Hadar HEC.
A couple of days ago I picked up a Fleet Corsair FDC, which I was surprised to see can deal quite significant amount of damage, despite being more of a cruiser-science mixture. I think it's even more powerful dps-wise than my previous Kar'Fi in that regard, even though I use more beam banks now, instead of dual cannons. Gonna play with it some more, at least until Fleet Kar'Fi appears in the Fleet store...
Fleet Saber Retrofit. It took me forever to buy all the modules using ec and zen from converting dilithium, but it was worth it. If only my fleet was high enough tier, I'd probably have the excelsior, armitage, or defiant versions instead.
I do not have a Fleet ship yet, but if I were to get one I would get either the Fleet Ning'tao or Fleet Hoh'sus BoPs, or the Fleet Somraw Raptor. If there was a Fleet Guramba, I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
My PvP toon is Krov, of The House of Snoo. Beware of my Hegh'ta of doom.
I don't have many fleet ships, I mostly own lockbox ships and a couple of c-store ones (well, a lot more than a couple but most of them suck now).
The fleet ships I currently play are:
- The Fleet Vorcha (the Torhk'at). The perfect balance between dps and tanking. Very difficult to fly with cannons in pvp though.
- The fleet Ambassador, which is arguably the best tank/healer in game. This ship is awesome and i love it.
On some rare occasions I take my fleet Hoh'sus out of the hangar for my tac but since battle cloak isn't really that great I don't do it often.
i would fly the fleet corsair.. but they screwed it up giving it a science boff instead of a universal..
too sad
[12:35] Vessel Two of Two Unimatrix 01 deals 225232 (271723) Plasma Damage to you with Plasma Lance.
[12:44] Vessel One of Two Unimatrix 01 deals 1019527 (1157678) Kinetic Damage to you with Plasma Energy Bolt Explosion.
On my main Fed Engineer I fly Fleet Science Vesssel Retrofit and Fleet Advanced Heavy Cruiser Retrofit. Soon going to get Fleet Heavy Escort Carrier As well as Fleet Assault Cruiser Refit. Thinkin bout Fleet Heavy Cruiser Retrofit.
On my main KDF Engineer I will be flying Fleet K'T'inga Retrofit, Fleet Neghvar Retrofit, Fleet B'Rel Bird Of Prey Retrofit and Fleet Vo'quv Carrier.
FED TAC: Non-fleet ship
FED ENG: Non-fleet ship
FED SCI: Fleet Nebula - Love this ship. A wonderful blend of the sturdiness of a Cruiser and Sci Vessel, while excelling quite well with its Sci BOFF stations. Quite underrated, IMO.
KDF SCI: Fleet Veranus - The Veranus line is the only truly dedicated Sci vessels in the KDF lineup. Not having the ruggedness of something like the Nebulas, and outclassed by the majority of Fed SCI ships. But again, it IS the only KDF sci ship. Very rare sight to see in any part of KDF gaming, and I'd like to believe I offer much needed variety to a KDF team.
KDF ENG1: Non-fleet ship
KDF ENG2: Yes, I love Engineering... Fleet K'T'Inga. The most maneuverable Cruiser in the game, yet still being quite rugged and reasonably balanced in its BOFF stations, but make no mistake that it is a Engineer oriented Cruiser.
KDF TAC1: Fleet Vorcha/Torkhat. TAC/ENG hybrid battlecruiser, turn rate 10, lots of things to love.
KDF TAC2: Fleet Ning'tao. Having recently been patched to have higher hull, the wonderful Universal BOFF stations of this BOP stand above every other possible BOP. It makes up for not having the 4 TAC consoles of the Fleet Hoh'Sus BOP. The ship is the ultimate in BOP flexibility.
dont you wish the fleet corsair had both com and lt com engineers tho?

I fly the Fleet Escort, in the Sabre variant. I love that little ship and she really packs a punch.
That said, gimme a Fleet Galaxy-X and you'll have me.
