ok the answers to the fleet marks and the romulan marks be in another blog post hopefully and understand that there are things that are being moved around and all these things about the tholian rep is angering people but be happy we have some new info about the tholian rep thats coming instead of not knowing anything at all till the last minute
1 are we going to lose the Romulan marks for the Azure rescue and vault missions??
2 whats going to happen to my existing (over 50) environmental suits from nukara ??
3 I assume we get to keep our existing anti proton pistols?
Hi Sollvax,
I'll be answering a number of questions presented in this thread, but for now let me clarify how we'll be handling the above:
1) We aren't quite ready to announce our plans on how Nukara Marks will be awarded. However, it is unlikely we'll be "taking away" anything. Keep an eye out for future forum posts on the subject!
2) Not a darn thing. Any existing rewards earned from Nukara are yours to keep!
3) Indeed. We won't be taking away rewards that you already possess.
Funny now you have to spend things to get those currently random free anti-proton weapons and EV suits. I wonder how much dilith it cost per weapon or ev suit. yay more dilith sinks!

Funny? No. Outrageous? Yes. Those weapons weren't awesome, just useful to equip boffs. And cheap green EV suits for boffs to play missions like the ones on new romulus (the T4/T5 one) were extremely useful. So we're going to have to pay ridiculous amounts of dil to play basic content now. Great. I love how they want force us to farm for a day or more for the kind of junk we get in those boxes.

Event he best MK XII weapons aren't as good as the gun that comes with the MK XII crystal fiber set. The other weapons that drop are a waste of marks and DL compaired to that gun. I run around with Ambush and one and two shot tholians on Nukara like it's going out of style so I'd say dont waste your time. I'll be skipping the store unlocks and doing the rep solely for the passives and the active power

The box stuff was not great but not bad. I think the goal here was to pretty much give nukara marks instead of boxes with random items which most of which were just TRIBBLE. So in what it is now and what it will be the change will be better so you pick what you want and don't need to be cluttered with TRIBBLE that will end up never being used and then recycled months down the road.
Some of the things though that weren't stated were things like the ground EV suit part of sets. Some of us do have the C/Z store EV suits. There needs to be a way to get those into our ground sets or either some kind of crafting even if its thru the doff system where we can combine it with the actual set piece for the bonuses from both and keep the Zen paid EV suit costume.
The other thing is I saw that tholian sword and it just reminds me too much of rainbows and think the lucky charms leprechaun is going to jump out of the sword. As for melee would be nice to get a mek'leth and the andorian melee weapon with these too maybe.
Overall tho the changes are welcomed they just need a bit more polish and a little bit more added to them to make it perfect.
Nukara was the place that turned me around on ground combat in this game, because if nothing else, there be action.
I will wait to see how many space mission options I get before deciding how to proceed into this personally. I'm not really sure I need another ground set, but I'll take my passive powers thanks. ;-)

Thanks for the information. The next question is:
Will awards currently in our inventory, (such as EV suits and anti-proton guns), marked as bind-on-equip remain that way or be converted to bind-on-aquire?

Hi Alanburch,
There are currently no plans to change the binding rules of the weapons in your inventory. Items that are marked as Bind To Account On Equip will remain that way.
I thought I would pop in and answer some of your question. So, without further ado...
Q: Will it come with missions per tier? like the romulan rep?
A: There will not be any new unlockable missions with the Nukara Strikeforce reputation.
Q: Will there be a way to earn Nukara Marks outside of Nukara Prime.
A: Indeed. There will be a way to earn Nukara Marks in several existing queueable events. More details will be made available in the near future revealing exactly which tasks will award them.
Q: Registering my Mk XII Tholian Ground set? What's that all about?
A: There are three registration projects, one for each piece of the existing Tholian Ground Mk XII set. To complete these projects, all you'll need is a MkXII set piece. In short, you put the requisite item into the project, and a few seconds later you'll be awarded with your piece back and 50 Nukara Marks. You can complete these upgrade projects once per piece in this set (per character) for a potential total of 150 Nukara Marks.
Q: Is the existing Tholian Ground set considerd one of the new ground sets?
A: You'll be able to earn a Mk XII version of the existing set. In addition, there are two brand new ground sets available in Mk X, Mk XI and Mk XII variants.
Q: Also, any sneak peaks at the new space sets, or can you let us know what makes a Tetryon weapon "Refracting?"
A: I don't believe we're quite ready to release this "super seekrit" information yet. However, if you focus really hard you might be able to hear me sharing this information with you telepathically.
Q: What is going to happen to my Nukara Equipment Boxes?
A: While they will no longer be awarded as mission rewards, any existing boxes will not be removed from players who already have them.
I hope that answers your immediate questions. I'll keep an eye on the comments on the blog post itself and in the forum thread and I will pop in and answer questions when time allows. Thanks for reading!

Are those projects going to be available only for people who posses the set? What if someone accidently starts the project, yet doesn't have this particular piece (for whatever reason)? Since there's no "cancel project" option won't this be problematic for some players?
Any plans to give an easy access to very cheap ev suits (like 1 dil or 100 ec like the ones from the current boxes we can find on the exchange)? We need 4 to play the T4/T5 romulan reputation mission, and I don't want to spend like 20k dil to play episodes... I think many players will also need new EV suits for their romulan chars, so cheap EV suits are really important just to play your content.

Good question! We intend to have upgrade projects on reputation tasks be cancelable in the future. We really want to avoid the situation you've outlined.

Thanks a bunch for the communications.
Warp Speed to you and the rest of the devs on all your hard work!
I have a few questions for anyone who knows more than I do
1. Will there be a patrol like the Romulan one, I hate the ground aspect of this game, and avoid it as often as I can.
2. Will there be a way to awards marks (including Omega and Romulan) faster and easier. I ask as it's hard enough just trying to get only two of my characters through Omega and Romulan. I'm not bothing with my engineer and science officers as it's too much of a time sink, there needs to be more faster ways to earn lump sum marks to make it more viable to people who like to have a character for each class on each faction.
Thanks.

There was nothing mentioned with Nukara itself. What's going to happen?
Are those Nukara missions going to change from Fleet Marks to Tholian Reptutation marks? If so, where are players going to go whom don't want to do Fleet Mark Events?
And if you are redoing Nukara, you going to fix that frustrating respawn rate?
Someone brought up a good point... are fleet marks being removed form Nukara, and ofr that matter Defera?
That would be very unfortunate....
A lot of KDF players use Nukara to grind Fleet Marks as the Fleet Mark Events are not as easy to get into as they are on Fed side.
"I'm not big on telepaths myself. I'm not big on guns either. But if everyone else has them, I want to make sure I can get my hands on the biggest one I can."
One thing I'd love to ask the devs though. How much of this is going to be broken content since last november which was 5 months ago when Season 7 launched one of the most horrible things is the tholian red alert and I'll say it again 5 months it has been out and is still broken.
So is any of this content going to go into fixing things like this that was introduced as new content but majority of the time its broken and cannot be played?
Not looking foward to this at all. I don't like Nukara or Tholians or having to wear an EV suit, and they are even less fun to fight in space. I barely touched Nukara before, and I doubt I will go there now either. I will probably just grind the easiest space mission each day just to get the t2 space passive, and possibly the t4 passive eventually if its worth getting. I won't be in any hurry with this either.
Rather have more Undine, Borg, Dominion, Romulan or any enemies to fight rather then Tholian, fighting them just isn't fun. Enemies that try to kill you instead of just disabling your weapons are more fun to fight.
I will look it over to see what the rewards are, etc. If worth something, I will head down there. Soon as I get done with the Romulan on. So far I'm on track to get my Fed done by time the release hits.

Regular ones and not the leveless? Why wouldn't you have discarded them immediately for EC? Surely if you have 50 you have some leveless ones
Can I turn in Epohhs for Nukara Marks please ? :P
