Missing My Star Trek Fix!

This is the first time I have tried to log on since today's update. I get "Fatal Error: Unable to initialize on-demand patching and connect to Patch Server: The connection was idle for too long." :eek: When I try to log on again, it asks to confirm my files which could take 10-20 min. I let it confirm but it still won't log on. :( A little help please.

    From the STO Launcher - click 'Options' - and make sure 'Enable On Demand Patching' is NOT checked (You're disabling the optional 'On-Demand' patching feature. Notre: This may cause a large download after doing so, as the server will download everything before allowing you to log in.

    The not-so-optional as its enabled by default on-demand and not everyone knows it feature. ^^

    thanks for your help...this unfortunately didn't fix it....:( guess I'll try a full redownload....

    Did you try to replace your launcher? As per here.

    I'd try doing that and then perhaps some tests of my connection to the cryptic patch server before I tried redownloading anything.
