Lately I've done some missions on Defera. I could be wrong, but it seems like the borg adapt quicker than they used to do. I used to be able to do one of the easy missions (the turret mission) in the city and I would have to remodulate perhaps two or three times during that mission, (and I've always played it as one should do: I fire at three or four drones per turret while or before updating the turret).
Now I can't take down two or three normal drones without having to remodulate. Sometimes I can fire one or two shots with a weapon that has just been remodulated, and I will have to remodulate it again. It is a little frustrating to remodulate your weapons after a few shots. Yes, with the full ground set it will take only one second, but there are times I have to remodulate again while the Integral Frequency Remodulator is still on a cooldown (which is only 10 seconds, so I am remodulating my weapons more than once in those same ten seconds).
In the reputation system, I chose the option that causes the borg to adapt slower to my weapons. And yet I have to remodulate them after a few shots. I guess this isn't how it should be, as it would mean that if a player chooses the other option, they would probably have to remodulate after every shot.
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same?
I've noticed no difference, if anything the borg adapt less quickly
also keep in mind that different weapons have different rates of adaptation and hitting multiple targets will speed up that process. For example plasma dual pistols are one of the worst weapons to use and anything-but-plasma high-density assaults are one of the best
Also for the Turret mission on Defera, why are you shooting the borg? Just walk up, remodulate the turret and move to the next one. My pacifist alt does that mission with no problems. Going around and killing every borg in your path in defera is a huge waste of time and someone is likely to steal your real target while you are wasting time shooting borgies
