LOL. Consider the source. You said you got it off the Gateway, correct? This is the same emblem that can be picked for an avatar on these forums. I'm guessing that the file is simply the avatar you can choose for use on the Gateway.

They said no to a romulan gamblebox because of a romulan faction. I'm sure they would include some of the ship for "free", while probably some from Cstore.
Maybe they'll make a romulan faction pack, with more ship/race option, for some amount of z point. For example pack 1 with romulan only, mogai escort, pack 2 with remans and romulan, D'deridex, pack 3 with the same as above + hirogen and scimitar.
Yeah, I think that the D'deridex will probably be a free ship. There might be a Z-Store variant, but any RSE player would be able to get a free version.
It's just the way they do it. As-is both factions have a few ships at each level that are free. And several races that are free. I don't think the RSE would be different. but, that being said, they won't necessarily have many free races or ships.
What might be non free?

The above image is the exact same one that you got off the gateway, only a different file. My file above came from STO Forum files. Just because the image exists is not proof of a Romulan faction in May.

Every other ship from that show is in the game in some form or another. It's one of the licenses Cryptic seems to have an easy time getting approval to utilize over and over and over again.

Come on man...show some intelligence and logic by putting the image within the context of the file name, where it's found and what else is going on around us.
Oh, and the image the OP linked to is NOT the same as the forum avatar available here.

Okay. I'll test my logic against yours. Bet? I say no Romulan faction in May. How about it?

You people keep dragging garbage and say "its canon, should be in the game" as if somehow some old piece of trash should automatic be in the game because it was shown.
Even with that piece of garbage that is totally OUT OF PLACE in STO timeline we still have a massive deficit of Starships as we only get what? 4 of them ... FOUR!
Well Mister Grumpy Pants, it's not like you can't make a modern, shiny ship with glowing neon tron lines or whatever you young'uns think is popular, and give it the ability to disguise itself as enemy ships. This is fictionland gentlemen.

My guess is people don't forget this thing, they just don't like it very much because you need to put a big glowing sign next to it that says
"100% a Romulan ship, not in any way related to a non-Romulan ship that was on Voyager";)
My guess is they'd scream until they turn blue or bust their own eardrums considering it's the intellectual property of another game company and thus beyond Crytic's reach.
Here is an as-of-yet unused graphic for a Romulan faction, direct from the STO Gateway. It's happening.
Who is speculating haha, STO Gateway the great gossip site ever.
This picture doesn't say a thing at all ....
The end off the timer they will tell what will happen with the romies that's most likely.
There is nothing coming in the game special when the timer ends....

Dig up any thread, more than 6 months old, asking for an ingame version of the Vesta and you'll find more statements like yours.
Any non-canon (or non CBS-IP) ship could find it's way into the game, if it had the potential of returning the investment.

No.
The Vesta is not the intellectual property of a GAME company.
So it was at least possible to try, just like it was possible to pull off with the Luna.
However with the Vesta it was already a bit more problematic since it is also in part the intellectual property of the company that makes the "Ships of the Line" calenders.
As a result it took over 1 year to secure the rights to the ship.
And that was with a company that is not to be considered their competition.
So the situations are a whole lot different.
Besides don't you think if it were so easy to get the rights for the ships from another game it would be done more often...like ever?
I bet it is the Romulan faction. If it is I bet a lot of Klingon players will be quitting this game in uproar.
Either way, the Rage and Tears will be of epic proportions. I'll take your bet, what are the stakes?

How come everyone forgets about these things? That would be lots of fun.

Yeah yeah and the moment they put that thing in then Fed players will be screaming from the high mountaintops for this: http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/USS_Incursion
