Whenever we get to fly a temporary ship, it usually has a full set of rechargeable batteries as it's default devices. Is there any way Cryptic would consider adding a set of these batteries to the Z-store? I have several of the old rechargeable shield batteries, but I would love a full set on each character because I use different batteries on different ships.
I know this is something at least I would be willing to buy, I'm sure other players would too.
It would be a convenience item. Instead of running to the vendor buying tons of cheap batteries that only stack to 20 per slot, you could spend a couple of dollars on a rechargable battery, or a bit more for a whole bundle. I wouldn't even mind if these were one time purchases, instead of unlocks. Typical MMO practice - not P2W (rechargable batteries would be the same as standard ones), but a simple convenience item.
Sadly, I'm afraid if anything like that would ever be added to the game, it would sooner appear in the Lobi Store or a lock box...
They do have them in game, but they are stupidly rare and expensive because they were only offered briefly on this one mission that was then patched later to have it removed.
I have one on my ship, when I bought mine they were going for about 25 to 30 mil each. I don't know how much they ask for now.
Though I have to admit if the Z-Store had rechargeable versions of each basic battery, for like 150 ZEN each (500 for a 4-pack with one of each type), I imagine it would actually be quite profitable for Cryptic.
Not really. That only gives you a +25 power bonus to all systems, while a rechargeable shields battery gives a +75 bonus to shields as well as a shield heal. +75 is enough to put a low power subsystem at or close to it's cap, which is very useful for increased shield damage resistance, running away or boosting your sci powers.
You would think in the 25th centuary they would have batteries that could be recharged anyways. I never understood this particular item, it's not like the Enterprise is running around and SMASH!

Sir, the DD cells are dry, you forgot to buy new ones in space dock the last time you were there!

Yea, sorry, just doesn't make any sense.

I just had a mental picture of the Energizer Bunny in Main Engineering, hooked up to the warp core.

I would pay 1000 zen for the 4 pack I spend tons of batteries its irritating to buy and stock them every time, and if I had rechargeable that would bring order to chaos in my inventory.
The red matter capacitor is great for when you need an all around boost, or to repair viral matrix or something like that. But the 25 power bonus isn't as nice as being able to pop a full battery to max out a power or just get one system online - and it's cool-down is very hard to deal with sometimes.
I have a rechargeable shield battery from when they could be taken off the runabout the KDF steals, and it's one of my favorite devices. I'd love to have a whole set so I could save inventory room. I fly a standard weapon Vesta - and in a day's play I probably burn fifty or sixty auxiliary batteries. The cost of the batteries isn't the problem, more the annoyance of having to re-slot them as they're used - to the five slots of my inventory dedicated to auxiliary batteries - to having to remember to stock up on them every time I play before I set off on my daily missions.
I know several escort pilots who feel the same way about weapon batteries, engineers who want a rechargeable shield battery without having to spend twelve million on the exchange for one of the last six on there.
Just my idea for something fast and easy that could be added to the Zen Store as a simple convenience to players.
Actually, last time I checked (two weeks ago, let's call it Exchange Boredom!), the Rechargeable Shield batteries go for 50 million now.
