i must say i was totally shocked when i figer it out bout this bug. Till now i was flying only tactical cannons build on my ships and recently i changed to beam/torpedos build. ASAP i notice something isnt right in foundry with loot drop, so i start to test it alone. After few days of tests i wanted to be sure, i asked fleet mambers to test it on their own and we got same resoult.
Cannons: from 550-700k of loot (selling to npc)
Beams/torpedos: 200-300k of loot (selling to npc)
On ONLY cannons (all weapons should be cannons front+rear) i notice i get 2-3 drops per kill
On Beams/Torpedos (2beam/2torp front, 2 torp back) i notice u get 1-2 drops per every 3th kill
Now question to Cryptic. Why is this happening and how you will fixt it ? I know i could be quite and farm with cannons further but that isnt the way.

As foundry authors have no control of drops i think you can sefely mention which one you were doing. I have a beam boat. So 8 beams for me. I did Royal Rumble. I charge in and hit fire at will to aggro everything. I use 2 of them so i have a fire at will uptime of 66%. I was seing up to 3 items per ship drop. I did Chaos rumble using the same strategy after that and drops were fewer. I don't follow blogs or what not. But fleet mates told me drops are limited per day. Per chance did you start with cannons and then swap to beams on the same day? That would explain the lower drop rate. Had nothing to do with weapon choices. You were just getting to much loot and so it was lowered. It's only a theory though. But i didn't have any issue on my first run with 8 beams. Could have also been completely random. I would like to know a for sure answer though.
