My compliments to the ship designers, this thing is beautiful. At least something good has came out of this week.
Strange that the pic is released just one day after the fleet marks debacle. Puts tin foil hat down only for a moment while he eats his mid afternoon snack :P
Are those DUAL HEAVY CANNONS/BEAMS pointed to port and starboard - near the front of the ship?
Could be, but don't get too expectent, they are a standard design element of the original Kumari from ent.
So, its a three pack like the Vesta, I am assuming each version will have a slightly different model like the vesta, so I am betting one will be the original Kumari from ent, another will be this one, then a third. Which is good, because I love the look of this ship, but I prefer the original Kumari wingtips.
Also, does cryptic have an internal person specifically doing concept art? If they do, I would love to see a dev blog from him where he just posts up some concept art and talks about his process.
Coombs is one of the few actors to truly get inside a Trek side-character's head.
He brought his characters to life. Weyoun and Shran are possibly my two favorite characters in trek. It really dissapointed me when they cancelled Ent, it was just starting to come into its own, and what's worse, after the fact they said, "Yah, we were going to bring Shran on as a regular character." The rage.
This better not be the side-firing design they keep hinting at. Better not be. Putting full broadside capability on Yet Another Escort #23 would be such a tremendous waste of an interesting idea.

Geko said its not the broadside. they still need to work on the tech for that. this is a straight up escort.
As the Community Manager, I am compiling reports and passing along feedback from that thread, and Daniel and the Devs are reading and considering feedback from that and the other threads on the issue. That what's in my purview of action, and I will continue doing so.

Not to put too fine a point on it Bran, but a large portion of your playerbase is in open revolt, in no small part because of Stahl's statements. We've effectively been told that smaller fleets have zero hope of any tangible starbase progress, and that there will be no meaningful changes to fleet mark payouts prior to May.
Do you really want your message to your players be "come back in three months"?
Do you really want your message to your players be "come back in three months"?
Brandon wants the players to be happy and nothing he's ever said or done (to my knowledge) is counter to that - but a community manager does exactly what he says he does - keeps a eye on what the players are saying (in and out of the game) and passes stuff back to the Devs.
Whether Stahl takes any notice of that is Stahl's call - don't shoot the messenger and all that

How about you just let us know if we will get another reply and when or what has been said stands because then you will get people to talk about it.
I am never giving PWE or Cryptic any more money and I was going to be buying the founder's pack but not anymore because even when a 75+ page thread is active on the forums no developer is willing to take the time and effort to talk why and how they plan on fixing it but to say wait 3 months.

That IS pretty much what he said, besides lying through his TEETH about how much Di gets refined a day. Problem is, if he says "come back in three months", they may NEVER come back. I very nearly decided to leave, as did some of my friends. We're tired of Cryptic backhanding us because we're not in Jupiter Force or UFP. If I WANTED to be in a big fleet,I'd be in a big fleet. I WANT to have a close group of friends that play together as a fleet, and Cryptic REALLY seems to want to punish us for it.
Dear Cryptic;
Please stop telling us how YOU want us to play and let us play OUR way. It's better for business.
Sincerely, everyone you pissed off in the last two days.

I do appreciate your prompt reply, Bran.
I just hope that this issue is not being put on the back burner.
You have, as another poster has said, an open revolt against these changes.
We now have had two 70+ page threads on this issue, with 99% strongly opposed.
Some have cancelled subs, some will be boycotting zen purchases until it is rectified.
All I ask is that cryptic acknowledge the issue is urgent and give us a timetable for a fix that is not months away.
A statement addressing the issue later today would be very welcome.
Can we PLEASE keep this particular thread related to the screenshot? I understand everyone's disappointment but, this thread is about the upcoming Andorian ship. Let's please keep it that way. There are plenty other threads to complain about the FM situation.
And onto the topic. Ship looks great! I too hope that keep the original skin for one of the variants.

It's too much of a coincidence that the screenshot was released just one day after the fleet mark issue. In a way, Cryptic is trying to draw attention away from complaints about small fleets and the need for a quick replacement for the fleet mark rewards removed from IOR's. These are very legitimate concerns that new shinies aren't going to make go away. Anyways, I'm done commenting about that.
Back on topic: I will admit the ship looks amazing, but I do wish we had some new content to try it on.

We knew from last week the ship was going to show up today.

Again, I understand that. As an owner of a small fleet (four or five active with three more semi-active) I am not that concerned with the change. I do agree that an alternative should have been added at the same time as the removal. I just don't see the need to derail another thread over it.

Coincidence? JamJamz has been posting "leaks" before the Feb 14 patch went live and this is a normal Friday Screenshot event, but akin to the first Ambassador screenshot.
Still, I'm glad for the Andorian fans, the Enterprise fans, and the Escort fans now have their 3-ship bundle (Odyssey for the Engineers and Vesta for the Science).

I think everyone is expecting too much, too soon. Even if Cryptic were to (internally) admit there is a problem, It is going to take time to formulate a solution. At best we are talking a week maybe two.
That is the reality of it. These things are not quick fixes, You have to actively look a the problem. Formulate what you want and what you don't want.
Cryptic has said from the beginning that Fleet Marks where meant for group content (as only Fleets need them) so you are NEVER going to get them added back to foundry missions. What they are going to do to mitigate this and help out smaller fleets in no small discussion and isn't going to be settled in a weekend.
I'd much rather the game's developers were busy actually working on, you know, developing the game. As opposed to answering 65 pages of rage on a message board. I think that would be far more productive. So frankly I'd rather Dan was kept out of this.
But that's just me.

It will have its own bridge.
For the 3 ships, I'm thinking, Battleship, Dreadnought and a some sort of small Escort like the defiant.
@f4tamy | Sad Pandas
...cross faction?
CommanderDonatra@Capt.Sisko: ahhh is it supposed to do that?
Norvo Tigan@dontdrunkimshoot: hell ya, maybe

Ok, that is one sweet looking bridge. I sincerely hope Cryptic did manage to get a custom bridge on this ship. It would really be awesome.

You're on.
Glad to see youre still posting Branflakes....now how about a comment from you on the thread regarding the ill advised removal of fleet marks.
A shiny new ship is nice......but there are rather more important things being talked about today.
I'm not sure what more I can say as Daniel Stahl, our Executive Producer, posted here: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=552391
