just wondering... where does the EC go to or what ever resources are paid?
To whos pocket and whos use... considering for a t5 fleet a great number of players have contributed - or do they just get ripped off and all the profits benefit the top elite?
Since fleet itself has nearly no use for EC (provisions and such cost a minute fraction of EC, rest cant be purchased for EC).
Simple. It goes into my pockets. Given that there are only two of us who got there in the first place. That money is in turn reinvested in such fine things as lockbox ships, DOFFs to feed the station, other things to the feed the station, a money bin, a blinged out gold limo. Not gold played, /entirely/ made of gold actually.
Which is to say: We bumrushed T5 military as a tiny fleet for the explicit purpose of lining our pockets with EC while we could. There are no broken backs of countless poor lower level peons. There is only me, my fleetmate, and a few friends with a character or two who never really contributed to the fleet and were only in to get a goody or just to be in SOME fleet.

If that is true, then I wonder why middle and small fleets are complaining that starbase grind is too insane. :P
"Last Engage! Magical Girl Origami-san" is in print! Now with three times more rainbows.
I still find it hard that a fleet with 4 or less people is capable of getting a tier 5 shipyard that quickly. My fleet has about 20 active members and we still don't have a Tier 5 shipyard.
All it boils down to is resource. It is possible with large enough pocket book (or LOTS of playtime)
Remember EVERYthing in fleet takes X resources which can be obtain via ingame. Dilithium can be traded via Zen (especially with fluctuating market lately from 88 to 95 dil per zen) if you play the market, you could easily convert 6k zen to 30k dilithium profit with 5 dil/zen profit. (or 6k at a time selling at 91 and buying em back at 90)
The rest would be getting fleet marks and buying resources to fill out the rest.

Pretty much. Getting the Fleet Marks was the biggest pain, really. But that's where grinding No Win Scenario for months on end trying to conquer it comes in...
I have purchased a couple of ships from 1st Aquarius and I thoroughly recommended it. :)Lifetime access is totally worth it, it's cheap really all things considered. And those wondering how a couiple of guys could have a Tier V Shipyard? You should see their Leaderboard, the numbers are insane.
the main stopping point for all the fleets is dilithium... it is the only resource that can get days or weeks or longer to fill up since 99% of the fleet never donates to it.
Simply cuz you already only get 8k max per day and u need it for billion other things.
So only the fleets that use zen for dil actually progress fast. Others can expect 3-5 years for a t5.

I'm sure there might be zen involved but is that wrong?
But.... a smart "stock broker" could have play the market in the last 4 weeks and run off with a killing!
I remember we could get 1z per 85 dil, it went as high as 95-96 (I sold at 96 once) and now it is back down to 88.
If you play the market (some do), you could easily made dil that way (or zen)
I also notice that Key prices jump from 1.3 to 1.4 mil. I did a few myself. There was someone selling keys at 1.3 while the market was 1.386 I bought them and repost it at 1.375 and made 75k in 1 minute (5 times) The exchange market can be profitable if you know how to use it.
People will always be quick to "undersell" other poster to make a quick buck and if you are lucky and/or watching the exchange, you can make some extra EC out of it. Luckily in dil exchange you can put in buy and sell order at different rate and hope it will sell (which I usually do within 2-3 dil difference and walk away with a tidy profit.
Some fleets are asking WAY TO MUCH just for a T5 ship TBH... I had one on the other night asking for 4 million... Wish I had taken up the offer, however 25 million, thats a joke! Its a game, and just shows how greedy us humans can be.
No wonder its a dog eat dog life on this planet, it makes you wonder how we lasted so long.

Well if you'd be willing to grind out T5 shipyard and sell it for less than that, let us know!

This was completely unnecessary. You are entitled to your own opinion, but insulting someone else in the process of sharing it... that's just plain rude.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.
I got my fleet Souvereign for exactly 25 million EC from another fleet and I dont' regret it. The new variant is nice to look at and I had planed to get it a long time ago. My fleet needs another month to reach Tier 5 and I was sick of waiting.
I had the money and didn't plan to use it on something else. So why not?
A month ago? yes ... you could sell access for that but come June and see what happens.
You're right. And we have been selling access at these prices. For a month and a half, now. Come June if I want to keep selling ships I'll obviously have to adjust strategy and prices, and decide if its still worth it to at that point.
Also this sales pinch is getting tired, this "testimonial replys" reek ... I suppose you people also tested the "new hair tech" and got your hair back in a week or something or used the "new character generator" and lost 15 pounds or something.
Sorry you disagree with satisfied customers commenting on being satisfied customers? I don't tell anyone to post in this threat, I do sometimes point it out as a place where others have posted to say they did in fact purchase shipyard access and get what they wanted without being scammed, however. The people posting in this thread do so because they want to, not because I'm such a poor business man I need others to lie for me.
Your bitterness over prices is no reason to suggest I'm that unethical or stupid.
1st aquarius division is serious stuff, a fleetmate just purchased a t5 voyager
But is it ethical? Letting someone use up resources to get a T5 Voyager..... its no different than letting a 5 year old walk off with an open can of gasoline and a lighter! FOR SHAME!!! :D:D

Pffft. Whatever ship they want is their own business, really. Not the first who wanted a Fleet Intrepid, won't be the last undoubtedly. I do try and warn off people who want the Odyssey or, of all things, Aquarius admittedly. They're just fundamentally bad. If someone wants a Fleet Long-Range Science Vessel? Why not, so long as they know what they're getting?

Meh, back while S6 was being tested on Tribble, I was looking forward to getting an Aquarius - it just looks nice. But yeah, had I kept playing long enough to get a fleet ship, with or without the fleet buff, the stats would have sent me running away. IT'S DREADFUL!
Honestly though, if the player's paying for the 40M version, I see no reason to warn them not to get the Odyssey - it's okay if you don't care for the fleet-style buff the C-Store versions received. :P
Edit: Other than the 10 fleet ships you could get if you had the credits for the thing in addition to the 40 ship modules.

1st Aquarius Division is very legit. 3 of us picked up our Fleet Sovereigns from them. Fast, easy and very polite transaction. I see no reason to not buy from them.
The TOS Veterans give them a thumbs up.

To be honest, the ammount of resources required to get a starbase and shipyard to tier 5 is so high, I highly doubt any fleet that has them unlocked would be of the mindset to trick players into getting EC, more so because any fleet capable of unlocking thier bases to this lelel most likely have no need for EC anyway.
Jupiter Force will have T5 Shipyard unlocked next week (it's currently slotted and running), T5 Engineering and T5 Starbase was unlocked a while ago now. I assume there must be several other of the large prominant fleets at this level also. To be honest, I think the prices some fleets are charging is pretty fair
I do think it would be nice if Cryptic altered the system though and made fleet ships only purchasable from the shipyards in a Fleet system, and allowed players to buy them using thier own fleets provisions, so an invite to the fleet would not be needed. I'd also suggest that buying from a fleets starbase or shipyard that you are not a member of should cost more (maybe 150%-200% excluding fleet modules), that way there is still an incentive for fleets to level thier own starbases. This would definatly make it a little less of a clumsy procedure and encourage people to want to visit higher level fleets starbases.

If you want, you could always add some support to the Aquarius thread I posted. Though some people in that thread seem to feel the Aquarius deserves to be dreadful and that every other escort should be made worse.

I just got my Fleet Assault Cruiser from 1st Aquarius. I am somewhat new still, and so the guy was really helpful in explaining things to me when I was purchasing the ship. So, I am very much satisfied with the ship and the service. A big thanks!
I've been trying the Imperial skin so far. I already have the Noble and Regent skins and have flown those a great deal many times.
Our fleet, Access Denied, is almost done with the whole starbase. And no, we don't sell access to ships, weapons, hangers, etc, we just have fun, focus, and work as a 400 member team Hmmmm.. Think I just called us the borg lol

Isn't it usually easier to join a fleet to start from?
I don't understand the reason for those Fleet invitasions to the shipyard.
If u make some calculations u would all see that with 38 sold ships they pay off their invesment in shipyard lvl5!
So if they sold around 100 ships they can pay off all starbase with interier...
And that is just one small part of the story
Put that way, seems like a fairly solid business plan, at least in terms of the in-game economy.
a quick and clean transaction
