Simply put: if you have a load timer that you accepted an STF don't make ANY map transitions, even if the rest of the group has not opted in (with a timer at 50 that all the sudden becomes 10 sec).
The game will count you as member of that queue until THE group you were a part of finishes (success or FAILURE). You will not be able to queue for that STF, but for others. It is not so bad a deal for the person booted out so much as it is for the 4 players that entered and now are down (PERMANENTLY) to 4. I know this because I played with one individual who reported that the STF played (during peak hours) was still at 4 players.
This is a serious issue for PUGs.
This instance has happened twice that I have noticed. This time at 9:10 pm CST with Khitomer: The Vortex (Elite). My toon Daalien had been in the queue with a Fleetmate, the mission popped and I accepted. He entered successfully, I was still loading DS9. When I loaded, he was in the STF (4 players) and I was out with above issues.
EDITED PART: "Already a member of "Khitomer Vortex (Elite)" is the message I received after trying to get back in the queue. I also tried to enter existing matches down one player but received the same message.
***I APOLOGIZE PROFUSELY TO ANYONE THAT MAY HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY THIS, I HAD NO INTENTION OF DITCHING ANYONE***
