STO on The Big Bang Theory?

I only started watching the TV series The Big Bang Theory recently. And so far I've seen them reference Star Trek in some way in almost every episode. They have also had entire episodes that are nearly completely devoted to MMORPGs such as: Star Wars The Old Republic, Age of Conan, World of ********, and I even saw a reference to City of Heroes. But has The Big Bang Theory ever referenced Star Trek Online? They love Star Trek and they love MMO's they should have at some point mentioned the only Star Trek MMO ever, shouldn't they?

Yeah, I agree. Oh, it's got some funny parts, but there's better things to watch- so I think I'll join you.

    Sheldon would hate STO.

Still, I'm sure STO would be featured on Big Bang if PWE paid enough money. I can't remember the last time I saw a TV show with so much in-your-face product placement.

Normally I loath shows with either a laugh track or are filmed before a live studio audience. But the Big Bang Theory, though far from being my favourite comedy is funny enough, often enough, to mildly entertain me. And with the exception of Community and maybe Mythbusters, it is the only show with as many geek reference, that I know of. And it has been on for several years (I'm not sure how many) and STO has been out for nearly 3 years now. And in all that time it seems odd that TBBT hasn't once, not even in passing, mentioned STO.

Problem with getting STO on it is that is that the people making the show don't actually know anything about the subject matter (hence their hilariously inaccurate portrayals and having characters argue about things that are entirely to well and too often explained in comics and only mysteries if you've only watched the movies). The things they reference are notable enough that they've heard of them and read the first two paragraphs of the wikipedia entry to get a few proper nouns to fill in the blanks on prewritten dialog (most glaring example of this was the Sword of Azeroth baloney). Occasionally they go the extra mile and go a search of the wikipedia page for a key word (Wolverine's bone claws give this away, since they'd appeared long before the issue mentioned, but the issue mentioned happens to be the Wikipedia reference link).

STO will need to be a lot higher on the radar before they even know it exists. As in, mainstream media coverage.

What if they reference it in the new JJ Trek movie? You know, maybe in the JJ Trek timeline, Spock could pull up some historical records from 200 years in the past, that say StarFleet actually formed from ideas presented in the STO MMO, of the 21st century. Creating an art, imitates life, imitates art, scenario? Wouldn't that be mind blowing?
