    "Federation NEEDS Battle Cloak"

Too bad Cryptic stripped names from the topic. I bet some of you posted in that topic. :P

How long have you been holding on to this little gem of a link?

    Just kidding

Feds needs to shut up about this junk. I am a 50/50 fed/klink player. I see nothing super OP about one side or the other in PvP except unfavorable Match Making teams. If you are in a group without the correct counter, then the other side seems OP. Just take your round loss and go own the next round when Match Making gives your side the edge before a shot is fired.

Cloak is ultimately effective against one foe.

I would say it depends on the ship this foe is flying. And his personal preferences and setup. Good luck on trying to use cloak vs sci ship configured as BoP killer with sensors boosted to maximum and kinetic and/or plasma build. Patrol escort with eng as pilot. Yeah, you may surprise him, but it would be pretty hard to kill him.

Cloak is overrated and thus cloak detection is not that much useful. Beside, there aren't that many BoP players left, thanks to ungodly good KDF battlecruisers and trash-box sihts.

My only opinion about FED vs KLINK is that I hate that the side specific tactics, weapons and ships are dissappearing by becoming more and more accessible for the other party

Nah, just less and less Klinks knows how to use even standard cloak and they decloak on 10km. Otherwise catching a cloaked ship and sending HYT quantums is kinda cool :)

Not really. Because if I target a cloaked ship, and he has me in target, then unless he is bad player, he knows I see him. So that narrows it only to ships that are going to ambush someone else.

Problem with cloak detection is, that its really not valuable as pre-emptive meassure, but its great to finish off fleeing target.

And I say that, as someone who loves to harrass BoPs in my Nebula :P
