Why can't female characters have an undershirt under open jackets?

umm... can't they just wear a closed jacket ?

Maybe if some didn't want to see the females undies when they get knocked down they could wear pants.

Simple solutions for the simple minded- at NO charge.

No, thats the sound of this thread and the 'guys in cropped jackets' thread dragging the forum and the game down the crapper.

Yes, because the worst thing to happen to the game is your already limited masculinity feeling threatened.

Because if you give women underwear then the next thing they're going to want is the vote.

Like I said the last time this came up: Only if males get the undershirtless version in return.

Because if you're gonna start scrubbing out gender-unique outfits, it's gotta cut both ways.

You keep missing the point entirely. There are no options for a woman to wear an undershirt with an open jacket uniform. Ergo, she's being forced to cave into Cryptic's misguided and decidedly un-Trek attempts to sell sex appeal to the heteronormative demographic.

You know, she could simply keep her jacket zipped up or wear one of the endless variety to solid pajamas Starfleet calls uniforms. Better that than to show some tantalizing undershirt!

As far as it being un-trek.... did you miss the whole point of the good councilor in TNG? Short skirts, low necklines, comes from a planet where they go around naked and are very affectionate.... yeah... she wasn't meant to be sex appeal at all...

Or lets look at more recent Trek, 7 of 9 started the infamous catsuit look, promptly followed by T'pol. I'd say DS9 is probably the least sexualized of all trek series. There they at least poked fun at it and let you share in the laugh. Some arguments could be made about Leta being the "sex" symbol for DS9 but really; unlike T'pol, 7, or even the generally bleh and uninteresting Troi, Leta was a full character with lots of depth and a great story arc.

/facepalm and lol, the Dabo girl was a more interesting and fleshed out character than the main sex symbols for the other Trek series!

I liked the Original uniform before the change to the waistline

But then I also liked Kira as a soldier and not so much as a "baby mother"

I liked the standard Bajoran uniform, the second suit wasn't so bad, but the third with it's waistline up the torso.

Ah well you see i have always believed Borg are technically corpses

so he was "reborn" but the Borg had seen his entire mind
he was still In the collectives mind and thus totally predicatable for them

Picard demonstrated in First Contact that he retained some level of connection to the collective even after being "unassimilated".

It seems more likely something happened just prior to First Contact to activate this telepathy thing. Hes isn't 'read' in any of the previous Borg storys.

Yep. Between the miniskirts (and the various how's-that-staying-on outfits on the aliens) in TOS, Troi & various background characters in TNG, the dabo girls in DS9 (plus, well, have to say that both Dax's & Kira were definitely good looking), Seven, T'Pol...... yep, Star Trek has clearly always been a bastion of "keep the women in canvas sacks".

But beyond that, I don't understand all the people saying "it's so hard to make anything other than a fashion model"..... compared to most games, the level of customization in this game is amazing. Fat stomach, aged/wrinkled faces, short/stocky torsos / legs / arms, misshapen heads - the amazing array of non-"ideal" body proportions and features you can do in this game is amazing.

...ok, just went and checked. Yes, you can't drag the bust slider all the way down to "flat as a board". But the low end is certainly well below every other MMO out there, and nothing I can see someone calling prurient.
(it does depend a bit on the other settings - shoulder width, torso bulk, etc.)

Saurians should be flat as a board

and its tricky to get correct proportions otherwise (one of my officers wound up with shoulders like a wrestler for a couple of days thats my female Rigellian Medical officer and she looked plain weird)

Not necessarily. Most sentient species are preserver descended, so its completely feasible they made all or most females to have two bumps in their chest. Even if they don't always function the same way.

Therefore we should remove female Saurians from the game like the female Gorn.
