I play a lot more often. Part of it, to be honest, has to do with the fact that my Fleet has become quite a bit more active since S7 launch. But, I do a lot more solo play since than I used to with S6.

It won't solve the issue for many of us. Dilithium isn't the issue, it's how you get rewarded. There is more than enough easy dil accross the board, obviously if it was a real issue people would adapt. Here it's not the case, it's about incentives to play.
Well one of my suggestions is increasing the FM from officer of the watch from 5 to 30 and adding dilthium.
And dilthium is the big issue - not that it can't be found - but people are not willing to "adapt" to the longer grind it takes to get it - and with Zen prices plumeting they won't be buying it either = people stop playing.
Another one of my suggestions was to create a bunch of new doff changes - like 10!! all at once and not only give a purple doff at the end but someting like 5000 dilthium so others would get involved in doffing.

Add to that I think you are a KDF player like me - well I do both.
The dilthium daliy missions on the KDF side is so long it would take up a page to list them all - especially if I include all the marauding missions.
Just running empire defense is like 1440x3
plus the pi canis sector
plus all the war zone
plus all the PvP
plus the daily kill counters
all these are on top of what the Feds have(which make up 85% of the players)
So sure if you play KDF dilthium is not an issue - has never been.
I've played stfs for way too long and way too often and now i have more dil than i will ever refine. People focusing on vanity projects are the issue if you're concern by dil supplies. But the dil exchange isn't a problem, dil has never been an incentive to play and will never be one.
I mean playing to get currencies is stupid. Playing mostly to advance a collective project is too. All we need is some adrenalin back into the game, and not just in useless lockboxes.
It's funny, I play more now. But, that happened in a roundabout fashion as S7 really put me off STO, so I got into another sci-fi mmo that recently went F2P. After poking around that for about 2 days and leveling one character about halfway I realized that STO could be much, much worse. So here I am.
I'll sell you some weapons from New Romulus. Never fired, only dropped once.
My only real reason to play is to get Dilithium, so S7 really hurt that. I'm sick and tired of doing the same dailies and STFs over and over again. There are still ways to make Dil and hit your daily cap, it's just so monotonous that I don't want to play that much anymore. Getting the ability to convert Marks to Dil will help, but not much.

to be honest, i play less and less. Even when i play i do exchange things, daily missions..
i am disappointed with fleet projects. They stay the same as the day season 7 started.
people are leaving our fleet and play less and less
i even start to play battlefield and aa few times. It was impossible thinking off a day before season 7
It seems like mostly what I do these days is just log in, grind up enough marks to fill up my next set of rep projects, and then poke at the dil market or exchange for a bit before logging off.
I think the problem is that I can't advance. For me, I'm mostly a PvE player and the whole point of MMOs is that as I'm putting time into the game, I'm advancing in some form or another. At this point, I can't actually do that anymore. Rep projects are time-gated so I set it and forget it. I could maybe do some fleet actions to try and get one of the purple drops for first place, but I'm an Engy in a Cruiser, so I'll just be congratulating the Tac Officer in an Escort who gets first place. I can't really get new gear because all the good (mk 12) stuff is gated behind fleet projects (3-4 months from t4 to t5, yay) or rep projects. I can do the New Romulus stuff but that's just daily quests for tokens that I can put into a Doff project and wait 20 hours for that to complete for any story/rewards/whatever. More offline waiting.
At this point, there's really no reward for extended play beyond building up stockpiles of marks/ore that I can only use at a trickle because of specific time gates.

That is an excellent point.... the current loot model and even Fleet Mark rewards are out of whack.
1. pvp sucks,
2. stf Pug have gotten worse
3. takes a very long time to queue for other stf on kdf side, even knowing the population is very large.
4 pvp sucks and needs to be redesigned and implemented in pve
5. getting bored with pve
6. pvp sucks and needs to be fixed.
I play the same amounth , S6 and after S7. BUT, before S7 the playing was easier, we could get good equipments only by playing more matchs. Now it has been too much burocracy to get anything. Hours and days, and still have to get the stuff needed to unlock..... oh man.... it surely got a little boring.... they droped the action to sustain a strategic way of playing. U can verify several bugs since S7 lauch, i believe they were trying to improve what was already perfect in many ways. O Diabo, de tanto enfeitar o filho, furou-o um olho .
Not only bad things, it's still my main game where i spend hours and hours .... heheheh
I took a break over October for seasonal reasons, but I'm back and going strong. Even if Season 7 isn't perfect, the prior Season improvements are still there (mostly) so may game experience hasn't really changed. I liked it enough before Season 7, I'll like it into Season 8.
TIME-GATE SUCKS ! Try to train a dog giving his delicious reward 24 to 48 hours later...... any system of reward works with time-gate.... that's bul****, 'cus the stuff we put into is discounted on demand. actualy, i HATED SEASON 7....... nothig changed, almost the same thing, but worsted......
i want S4 back when the only thing they did in a year was a revamp of ground combat and it sucked just as bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed that the time gating is getting absurd. It was fine when there was so little to do that it needed to be stretched out. I would not mind it if all the activity related cooldowns were reduced considerably.

I have dropped the amount of play time by 70% since season 7 started.
How has your experience been? What do you notice from your friends/fleet mate?
How do you compare your time spent now with compared to 2 weeks into season 6?
I'm playing more since Season 7. I think it's another solid improvement. In my opinion, the game (like most Trek) gets better with each season.
Definitely some bugs to work out still. The three major shortcomings I see (which I would bet will be the focus of the next three seasons): Storyline, PvP, and Klingons.
Aye, I'm playing significantly less since S7 and the reputation system went live.
Previously, I'd log on and run around 3-6 STFs per day, and maybe a daily. Usually just one character mind. Sometimes I'd log on to multiple chars, but the total playtime would remain the same (anywhere from 2-6hrs).
Now though, I log in, set up DOFF mishes if I can be bothered, check rep projects, and run maybe one STF, FA or Romulan daily to top up marks. This rarely takes more than 1hr. Often this is every other day as well. My sub comes up at the beginning of Dec, and even if I could afford resubbing, 4-7hrs per week of timegated gear grinding is not worth it frankly. At least with the previous system you'd have plenty of dilithium or EC from loot to play with, now, at least to me, it seems that you barely get anything.
