Insane damage?

Was in an stf the other day and someone there was able to take out one of the transformers before we had taken out the generators. He was also able to take the gateway from 90% to about 40% in one hit. I wasn't paying attention to him either time to see what skills were being used. Anyone ever seen this or have any idea what the guy was doing? He of course wouldn't say.

I can do that in my Chimera...

Mk XII Very Rare Consoles, MK XII anti borg DHC's and The Beam lotus with all DPS buffs...

Admittedly it dosen't work every time (actually it rarely works), but it's doable.

Guess it's related to when they heal the sucker... need to hit the right second.

Took out a transformer when someone blew a generator early and the nanite spheres were on the way in. Popped all my tac buffs then hit the lotus disruptors and got really lucky on the crits. Followed up with the Red Matter Capacitor so I could still have good weapons power after the lotus drain to maximize the time I had left on my Tac captain buffs.

That is not a sure fire thing and if I had not gotten so lucky on the crits we would not have gotten the optional on that elite STF.

You know the time frame is right, and I always follow up by hitting the gateway after the transformers are down. I doubt that was me though. To be honest I have never seen a gateway drop that fast.

The Pehnqu, like the Chimera, is a good ship.

Ive seen the tac cube in KASE pop in 2 or 3 seconds after a sci person removed his shields.
All 3 people crit it at the same time (damage log) ,one of them with mines ,one with disruptors and one with antiprotons (all tac in escorts ).

Also sometimes in CSE you can pop all 3 cube before any nanite ,then destroy the carier and to get the leave button you need to clean the nanites....thats the nOOb "working as intented" way

The most weird thing I ever seen was a rainbow ship (whith many unfixed crit injuries) who tanked Donatra's main weapon in Elite KASE and lived with more than 50% hull....that was amazing

I'm pretty sure this is actually related to a rare bug. I was in an ISE where we took out the gateway before the 2nd trans was down and it wasn't a bunch of crits stacking up. The trans was just not healing the gateway at all. There were no lotus effects either, because this was before those ships came out at all.

You know the inverse seems to be true as well.

I was in a elite Onslaught and normally I have no issues despite the PuG. This one was different. We argued with Borg pickles for about an hour with it one shotting the heck out of us. Finally, one by one, we all left the instance. Play it on elite again about two hours later and I was back to face melting Borg pickles and diamonds with no issue.

With Season 7 it seems that sometimes the Borg are weaksauce and other times they are OMGBBQsauceROFLstomp.

I think it is an occasional bug that makes them pwnable by newbs with Mk VIII gear spewing skittles and pwnzyourfaceing seasoned long standing PvE veterans. You know how it is with those occasional bugs, they become less occasional over time.

i know only of tricobald mines/torp with a mass of debuffs on the target being able to do it...it takes a lot of preperation, but is definately possible.
