Beginning of a New Future isn't triggering.

I picked up the mission "Beginning of a New Future" on New Romulus and carried out the required step (in this case helping in the Hwael Ruins), but the mission doesn't conclude when I turn in that step of the daily. I'm expecting it will tell me to go to a new area and help out there (as it did on Day 1), but that's not happening--nor is it letting me turn it in.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Am I doing something wrong here?

    Resolved.

    For those who don't know, the mission fails to tell you to return to the mission giver and does not provide you remote contact access. To finish, return to Foreman Kylor at the staging area.

    I shall have to try this, although for me it looked like the mission was resetting once I turned in my completed Help in the ... mission that it had asked me to do. Once I turned that mission in, the Beginning of a New Future mission opened up in the mission screen again, but I couldn't do the mission it was asking me to complete, because it was now on an 18 hour cooldown.

    it is definitely a bug, i did it three times now, first time i thought id wait the time out and try it again, this time i dropped it and took it again in a different area, read this thread, went to staging area to see if i could turn it in, nope, as if i never did it at all... BUGGED

    and yet, 2 years later the bug still remains, now you just CANT end the mission, even tried to talk to foreman kylor.... seriously.. FIX PLZ

    Actually, the issue verified reply was less that a month ago, but, yea, I'm having the same problem.

    ditto.

    completed a Staging Area mission but Kylor's "New Beginning" didn't count. Returning to Kylor says "What are you waiting for".

    I have a 'Secret Shuttle Codes' in Mountain Pass that can't be completed also. I cannot drop it.

    I never had this problem, now for a month I can not finish it. Just wow, 2 years this bug has gone around.

    I'd just like to point out that if you actually read the first 4 posts in this thread, you will see that the original issue was resolved, and was simply a case of the mission not directing you back to the mission giver. then on November 4, silversprite resurrected a dead thread and reported an entirely new bug. Two days later crypticfrost gave his issue verified reply, but all people see is the dates of the original 4 posts and are giving grief because of a bug hanging around for 2 years, when, in fact, the bug that is currently being looked at is a post DR bug, and was reported less than a month ago. Give them a chance to track down this NEW bug, don't give them grief because someone revived a dead thread.

    For that one you have to speak to the civilian next to the Mountain Pass transporter pad, he gives you a mission which you go to do. At the end of the mission (before you leave the area) interact with the shuttle and submit the data after the cut scene then the Secret Shuttle Codes will turn in.
    Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.

    The New Future bug seems to be fixed with the December patch.

    I had 2 characters where it never completed doing weeks of dailies and yesterday both got the completion. I could then Hail starfleet/KDF and got the 320 dil.

    For one I then got and resolved the mission a second time since it picked a different location.

    For the other, I got the mission again but can't resolve it yet because it picked the same area (20 hour lockout per area).
