ok this ship seems semi bs atm. hull is 47,400, with maco sheilds,8,897, turn is 45.3 with 2 mk12 rcs(purple).
4 engy consoles, 2 sci consoles, 4 tact. my setup tt2, tt1, rapid fire 2 x2 omega 3 delta 1.
epts 1x2 rps 1 x2 he 1. still going to play around with the engy set up. thinking about aux2sif x2 so i get 100% uptime. or aux 2 damp x2.

It's a fantastic ship, and a very nice looking model (I asume that's Jam Jamz handiwork) and with good stats. What sold it to me was the fact there are 2 tier versions of it. It's a great starter ship, and the starter pack goddies account unlock is great. I haven't used the new console in an STF yet, but it looks good on paper.
After they up the shield modifier to 1.0, this will be a smart little ship to invest in, and a good deal even at the full price.

I fly the saber, it's shield mod is something like .79 right? Those shields are paper thin despite the sci console advantage. It's hull is much worse too, the only thing the ship has going for it is its turn rate which makes it a great duelist but a poor team player imo.
the saber is down on raw numbers quite a bit. even though its got an extra chunk of hitpoints to go with its shield mod, once the shields on the steamy are fixed it will be hard to beat. its got the best self preservation capacity an escort can have.

I just checked a bunch of deets on the saber vs. steamrunner. For a loss of one turn point and one tier 2 sci ability you are getting: an extra tier 2 eng ability, 17-18% more shields, almost 4 thousand hp, and +150 crew.

Well, I figure the Saber has a higher defense value too, not sure how to check that though.
I'm at 77.7 on my McSteamy. I don't have a Sabray. Also, fer teh lulz, I got my turn up to 71. Doing doughnuts in ESD local space cause a couple PM's asking me where I got my fat ride.
Can somebody post up the changes after the patch? I won't be on for another 12 hours or so and I'm a might curious. The shield mod was expected, but I'm not seeing the need for a buff to the rest.

Ran home at lunch so I hopped on, looks like the shield mod was the only thing adjusted but I only glanced at it. 40k shields with 2 field gens. Inertia is 60 btw.

The main problem with running double Aux2Bat on an escort (and especially a Tacscort when you have Tac Initiative) is that you're going to run out of unique Tac skills and end up running copies (the bane of A2B). So double TT is kinda useless, for example.
That said, A2B with trannies is almost interesting.

2) You cannot "Kirk It" in every ship
3) You are going to die, just get back up
It's part of a two ship bundle that includes other things - available for the equivalent of 1000 Zen...er, if that sale's still going on.

well, my little escort pilot brain can think of about a million reasons why this is the new top escort in the game. or at least on par with the bug.
