Heads up on dilithium outlook: Dan Stahl is posting on Red Alert at this moment and has said they are monitoring the dilithium economy. The average people are collecting seems to be going up.
How can that be ?
I'm still averaging 2666.7 dilith per day.
<edit> oops, forgot- I haven't collected since S7 launch, that's my cashout from pre-s7.
# of toons collecting goes down
average per toon goes up
It really is simple math. It has nothing to do with the STF dil changes or anything like that. It is the removal of the console clicker. The market dips every time the foundry is taken offline it just typically recovers when it comes back.
How much dil do you think the console clickers generated that went on the exchange % wise, now double that and it is likely closer to reality. All in my humble opinion of course.
But really here is the bottom line, we are expecting too much. Cryptic has enough difficulties balancing boff abilities, ships, weapon types, encounters, and so on and we expect them to create and balance a virtual economy? Nah it is what it is we just have to live with it.
Personally I made 11k dilithium ore in an hour doing daily from defera, tau dwea, stf.s, and sb24.
Sorry about being skeptical, but the math doesn't add up.
Defera - 1440
SB24 - 480.
TauDwea - 480 from red alert daily.
STF - 960
How again does this add up to 11K? Even with 3 alts doing the same thing, it doesn't add to 11K. And kudos if you really can do this on 3 alts in 1 hour. LOL.

actually its 2 alts, Kdf and my main fed.
forgot to put in the Doffs in there, oddly enough there are places which get you a ton of Dilithium when you make assignments there.
for instance one of my "Negotiate a Deal" doff assignments got me 560 dilithium, the rest had a minimum of 100 dilithium. that was 20 doff assignments each char.
and STF's go by quick with a proper team, took my team 10 minutes to do KASE, and ment to put did 1 last SB24....which you got wrong its not 480 its 1440, i cought it as we were mopping up the last 4 klingon battleships.
I never said anything bad about Fleet Actions having Dilithium, just that people were exploiting the system. Thats why they turned off Private Queues.
I have no problem with Fleet Actions having Dilithium, only when Cryptic took away Diltihium from the STFs and told players they had to do them to get their Dilithum, is what I had the problem with.
Ah, okay. I miss understood. I apologize. That I can agree with you. Taking it out completely a day or two after they had said it was going to be around the current levels was a big mistake.

I know that it true for me. In Season 6, I didn't really do many STF's; only enough to get the MK XI grounds, MK XII armour, and MK XII Maco. I understand they are the bread and butter for some people, but I got burnt out. The tension always seemed too high sometime. I agree they are fun and a challenge, but again for me it was more like, "okay you stay by Kang, the others, go blow up the borg (much of them stationary) in a certain order, every time, then we will win." The challenge wears off after doing it 3 times, 5 times, because we know what to do?
I did not do the clickies, I did not bother traveling to B'Tran to do those. I didn't even take the time to do the Defera dailies. I did Fleet Mark stuff with a splash of Doffs.
I, for one am happy to see Dilithium in Fleet Actions and that they stayed in STF's. Now I can play a wider range of things I enjoy and still get dilithuim. And now that the Fleet Actions reward, I find myself going from SB24, to Infected Space to get some Omega, then to the Big Dig, to the nebula rescue for some romulan/fleet marks, etc. I like the FA's because they are larger engagements. Sure, they're easy, but just the other day, when I was running in my Steamrunner, I wing manned with an Akira and it felt awesome. I like seeing the variety of ships in FA's. But that's just me.
Last season I only hit my dilithuim cap on my main toon twice, once over two weekends when I was in search for the MK XI gear. Since S7, I have dilithium capped my main toon now three days in a row, and have actually been playing my alts more.
I just play what I want and that's why I'm really glad STF's have dilithuim again. I am really eager to get to T5 on both the reputation system to see dilithuim conversion from marks.
I just play what I'm in the mood for and thankfully more of it has dilithium attached to it.
The intent is quite clear. Cryptic/PWE want you to start spending real cash to buy Zen instead of easily grinding out Dilithium and converting it for free.
Free? Someone paid for it, you're just providing dilithium for the zen they paid cash for. It's not a loss to Cryptic, but a drop in exchange transactions is.
Zen : Dilithium Exchange
Currently it has already begun the slow drop in the value of zen to dilithium. This is a day after a new 5,000 zen ship pack was released and a very bad sign. While it is true that they are returning the Dilithium to STFs I highly doubt anyone will argue that the supply of dilithium has gone down and that demand will increase. And while Zen becoming cheaper is good for me, it is bad for cryptic. I would imagine that as the value drops so will the traded volume as both sides believe their currency is being undervalued on the exchange.
Currently below 130 Dil to Zen, from a steady 158 previously. Zen lost about 18% of its value in what, two weeks? That is much faster than I anticipated.
Fleet Starbases
Because of the doff changes combined with the removal of the console clickers many fleets will be hard pressed to accumulate the resources need to advance their fleet along with the new reputation grind and embassy. I suspect many will try and get their embassy to tier 1 if they can stomach the dilithium costs and then abandon it. I also suspect many fleets have stalled in their starbase progress to begin with and that many many more will as well.
And how many threads have we seen about this? Although that is not the bad thing, it is those who haven't even bothered to complain and just gave up.

My bad.
Awoken Dead
Now shaddup about the queues, it's a BUG
I think Cryptic is struggling to figure out why their data is telling them one thing, but the market is seeing the same thing differently.
STOKed Radio is tomorrow, Mav will set em straight.
