People complain that levelling up is too fast. One of the main reasons is that DOFFs allow you to level when you're not even playing. This slows that exploit down.

    I'm happy with it.

Too bad that is not an Exploit but was an intentional design of the system to allow a bonus to leveling with its use. Leveling via the DOFF system solely is much slower that doing mission content. It is a tad slower that leveling was before the game went F2P and got the boost. So your statement is not factually correct.

I laugh at this - anyone who is really interested in doffing does not us the grinder often. Look into the many ways the doff system has built in for free how to upgrade doffs - but it takes time and was never designed to be a quick thing.

I bet anyone who is bothered by this now that greens/blues/purples have been removed from starbases is only 1 group of people:

those taking fleet commons - or cheap exchange commons and grinding them up to blues and purples to SELL!!

    tough luck.

    Good move Cryptic!

True there are many ways, but those ways do not become readily accessible until a person is already more advanced in the DOFF system. The people who are already more advanced with better DOFF rosters will not be impacted. The point is, the entrance bar to use the system has been drastically raised.

its not going to help doffing or the exploration, but its also not going to kill it either.

hyperbole does not help when trying to raise an issue.

I have further explained the issue in two posts. Also, I did not say it will kill all of DOFFing (re-read my original post) but I do say it will kill what remains of exploration (arguably the system is already dead). So the statements are not exaggeration, they are deductive past on the current implementation.

Yeah, it doesn't kill doffing. I never used the grinder and have over 50 purples. You are just not clever enough to play a game as simple TRIBBLE STO.

Exploration ... what exploration? Scanning anomalys and killing some random NSC's to get Dilithium does not sound like exploration to me :-P

You can still explore the B'Trans sector. You just can''t do "Explore strange new worlds" and "Chart the B'Tran sectore(Vice-admiral)" together.

So, stop whining , learn to read, learn to play, stop grinding and enjoy more foundry missions :-)

Insulting me neither strengthens your position nor weakens mine. These changes (especially to DOFFing) will affect me and every other advanced DOFFer little. What little argument you have made still has no bearing on the issue raised. The changes to the DOFF system will impact beginners the hardest and then existing mid-level players. Yes, it is easy to get 55 purples and 55 rares, all you have to do is hit Tier 4 and have the diithium needed.

Exploration - you illustrate my point exactly...the change to B'Tran is yes beating a dying horse to death.

    ...dilithium rewards for fleet actions...

Actually, IIRC, the dilithium rewards are for the old content that no one really plays - mostly because it is old and/or buggy.

Things like SB 24 for example, missions which are the worst examples of favoring DPS above all.

The actual Fleet Events that grant Fleet Marks that you'd be inclined to do with your Fleet - to my knowledge these still only award Fleet Marks.

Simply put now you need tremendous amounts of dilithium to doffing also.

Gone the days it was a honest, hard-worked source.
Before, you could spend your TIME doing recruitment and reassignment if you didn't spent $ for dilithium.
Now, whatever method you use it will cost you dilithium, and in case of fleet store even much more than that.

It's no secret that was to force you put $$$ for doffing too. As usual.
What they didn't calculate, as usual, is that they're pushing people to leave.
I still dream from time to time about using the Gateway to doff off-game in spare minutes as we were told

?The Dilithium reward has been removed from the Chart the B'Tran Cluster, Vice Admiral ? Daily. LOL I guess I'll never have to make that long Space travel there again everyday. Oh well it is gone now. I guess they also don't want to fix alot of bugs I found doing those Exploration Missions.

Well I have 200 people in my fleet. I'm a gold member. I'm going ot get everyone to leave. Unlike Q. I can actually kill my god. No money, no life, get it? I'm certain others will leave as well. So we can vote with our Euros, Dollars, and Pounds and send a message that these bums belong unemployed.

No ******, my stuff is bound to me. Even if it were transferable, I'd rather throw it away before a mooch like you got it.

There is a lot of rage right now. It wouldn't surprise me. The Feds have the ships, the Klingons have the ability to print dilithium compared to the feds. I am waiting a few days for it to shake out and the lag to die down. But i'll tell you what if there arent changes? ANd things stay the way they look? I'll regret bringing my friend into this game because i'll be moving to something else.
