Where to start where this season is going to be the worst ever.

    "Reputation System" (grind system)
    DOff grinder dilithum increase.
    STF reward Nerf

I just finished playing that new stf, on normal it took forever, they cut through my mk12 honor guard equipment like it wasn't there. And when it was finally over about an hour later. I got NOTHING.. no dilithum, no omega marks. No shiny drops I could vendor, no shiny drops I could convert to dilthum for a nice weapon.

I didn't even get the reward I was supposed to.

Reputation system is just another grind, it only benefits the people that have the time to generate the resources.

I got an infraction on this board before because I spoke out against the old STFs.. oddly they changed less than 6 months later so you didn't have to play a long drawn out horrible mission for little reward. (Oddly my infraction stands though my point was obviously valid)

I will once again stop playing STFs because there is not enough reward for the effort put in.
I won't participate in your reputation system because honestly it's just another resource hog grind. I have enough of that with starbases. And it has nothing to do with reputation. Would have been better if this system actually was reputation bases on statistics through STFs like average dies per stf vs average kills ect... based on performance.

Everything is not costing and requiring dilithum, but one of the main sources of dilithum is being reduced.

I like the new missions, I dislike the lack of any rewards. (or any substantial rewards)
I mean I've gotta grind Omega marks and other resources so I gotta grind omega marks to buy stuff, oh and I have to also use dilithum to do both grinds? Keep it.

I like the idea of the rep system, I dislike it's nothing but a grind reward.

Don't matter though, there will be enough on here will praise the grind TRIBBLE, because they like it.

This is a game, not a job... grind this to be able to buy this, but you have to grind before you grind, then you have to grind to grind.

Who there has lost their mind? And who's idea of fun is endless grinding?

Of course as a lifer my opinion does not matter since you already got my money. I'm just sad to see changes that will drive most long term players off.

Im having trouble with tribble =O.o= Im doing the dailies trying to get in my hour as I explore the new content, but I keep getting kicked from the server, plus the lag has slowed me. I have to keep restarting the clock all afternoon?

BTW, what I have seen so far seems really cool. This new Romulan content, i hope it starts to bring back the old Star Trek players and fans, Id like to see more people using the theme like they used to before f2p.

Seems kind of odd, I went into Bridge view and walked about the ship. In the ship selection I selected my shuttle and made it my current vessel. Then I left the interior and found myself on my escort. With one difference. I had an extra officer position on the UI. I was able to put an officer in it and use it in a fight. Is this supposed to happen?

    It's a BUG...

Borticus posted in another thread that it will be fixed by the time Season 7 hits.

Has something to do with how They connected the new option to have a Shuttle ship permanently available without having to actually switch to it.

For some reason, it's putting your shuttle BO's on your main ship's list.

Have just played again for another hour or so. This time on New Romulus. Like with the sectors no bugs to report. Barely scratched the surface on New Romulus, but what I did do I really enjoyed. Will seriously be looking forward to it going live. Alot of care and attention has gone into season 7. This should be commended

Yeay, a new toy to play with :D I hope we get to keep the bug sprayer ^^

Something new to explore in an exploring game, I hope u keep adding that. The daily grind can be a bit repeatative, but sometimes u just wanna see new things thrown into the game that DO let u explore strange new worlds. I think this will be fun new content. Once we get past the cruel grinding for the starbase and embassey, i think we can sit back and enjoy the game...please keep the classic star trek coming. As I have a few toons in holodeck that i like to use for that very thing. Want to see what im up to, google me (CatStarSTO)

Overall I like it. Huge world created on New Romulus. Its nifty. I love that there are notifiers in the mini map to the next mission targets.

The instances I find need a faster respawn for baddies, I played 3 in the couple hours I was gaming and while they were packed with players none of them achived 100% cause we were killing off the baddies too fast and standing around waiting for the next batch to "beam in" By then the time ran out.

the time it takes to FINISH anythign is my biggest critique. For someone who doesn't get a lot of game time like myself I don't want to have a daily only half done by the time I've played for an hour. Increase the percentages, this includes the dailys in the Sector too.

I LOVE the new scan, stuff like that, awesome.

Please dont' make more things cost dilitium unless you are going to let us sell stuff with dilithium too...no wait, use our credits instead. too many currencies for a game based on a universe with only a couple ;)

i just pLayed in the new romulan space.

I did the patrol which i thought was really fun and a good change of pace. fighting all the different factions, but i think the starbase is a bit overpowered, but I'm also playing on elite. It makes killing a regular cube seem like childs play in comparison.

I tried a few enemy encounters, but there was no enemy to fight. Are you suppose to for a red alert or something?

New romulus looks good, but why is there ruins if it suppose to be a new settlement?

Liked New Romulous, all ground missions worked well, good graphics and held my interest for 3 hours! Refresh rates for tasks seemed a little to quick though, you could stay in one area and achieve all the required items without having to explore the zone to get them.

The Hive Onlsaught was another matter, Ship was very slow and at times after respawn would not respond to helm, DPS seemed to vary through the mission, Drops could not be taken and there were no rewards to claim at the end - This mission needs a lot more work!, hope the other new STF's are better.

Ok i had a couple of problems but i think it was due to my dell video card and both error reports were turn in. I guess the game setting is set at 9 DX but the tribble i guess are set at 11 DX and both times it telling me to scale back my video resolutions to a lower setting. My costum game computer is down right now, so i am using an old dell to play the game.

There appear to be some VERY strong issues with Hive Onslaught, one of which seems to be that the normal difficulty is much harder than any normal STF out there, and also is harder than an Elite STF. The Queen Octahedron in particular is far too over-powered on normal difficulty and was firing off both Torpedo Spread III and the torpedo console from the Heavy Escort Carrier, as well as triggering way too many abilities at one time to be considered normal difficulty, at one point she triggered 4 skills at once, including sensor jammers, with no delay in between and simultaneously tractor beamed me for about twice the duration of a normal tractor beam. This tractor beam stopped me dead in my tracks until attack pattern omega AND polarize hull were applied at almost the same time. Plasma fire values appear to be an issue as well as the cubes and spheres were doing much more plasma damage from fires than is normal in any STF let alone a normal and almost every hit from them applied a plasma Proc.

Also, it seems my Veteran Peghqu' Heavy Destroyer, was moving much slower than normal, which surely reduced my defensive strength.

I am still creeped out by the Hive Onslaught map but it was very fun. The normal mission was very difficult and although the command ships were rather easy to kill, the Diamond used every single ability you can have a Boff for with no cooldowns and several uni consoles such as torpedo point deffence and antimatter spread and I even saw it use photonic displacment. The Romulan map wear there are suppose to be hirogen, they hide too much and as for the talshiar there are just so many of them and their stealth perception was off the chart and a fully specked stealth modual 3 didn't hide you even near well enough and if you battle cloak they stay on target. The space station testing in the new sector is very hard even for escorts that tank so all cruisers and sci ships have almost no hope, the station not the escorts as they are a good difficulty. All in all they season is very promising

Tried some of the new content and really liked what I saw. For one, the increase in voice acting is long overdue. I also really enjoyed the more "cinematic" approach to New Romulus, beaming down into a cut scene, etc. Engaging storytelling is at the heart of the Star Trek universe, and reading pages of text just doesn't do it. The animation and gameplay on New Romulus was really choppy for me, hopefully that's cleaned up by the time I play it on Holodeck.

I loved the ground map red alerts idea! And the Tholian vault, ship rescue, and space zone red alert were a ton of fun. Didn't try the new STFs, but I did dabble in the two reputation systems. Looks like it'll be a lot of fun and good motivation to play with direction once a captain is through with episodes. I'm super-psyched for some of the passive skills! Weapon frequency modulation on ground maps! Swarms of helper nanites! Chance for torpedoes to bypass shields! Are you freekin' kidding me! Yeehaw!!!:D

For the guy who asked why the ruins are there, Listen to the storyline from the cutscenes and the npc's, they are exploring the new planet and found ancient ruins there. Not thiers, someone elses, i figure this will lead to more story lines later, given the faceless statue they havent figured out who yet eather :P but they do tend to rush production, thats why there are always so many bugs.

As I said before, exploring the imagination of the writers for this game and all the little details they add to it, is always a joy. BTW has anyone ever noticed the 10 buildings that still stand in old romulus, or the etchings on the walls of the mine. They do put alot of detail into the environments, its more then getting the next gimmick or grinding for what ever, im a gamer, i like to search in, around and on top of it!...and yes im also the type to look for easter eggs, like Dr Tran in, the breen episode "Cold Comfort" Keep the fun coming cryptic, and the grinding down!

    Okay here is my feedback:

Great - The ability to change characters without relogging. THANK YOU!!!

    Good - UI improvements
    - The additional Romulan storyline. More content is always good.
    - Reputation system. So far so good with some concerns about the cost. I would like
to understand the reward better so I can better understand the value of doing this.

Need to improve - Reduce the size requirement of the Romulan ground mission. Very hard
    to get 20 toons together.
    - Need to have 1 or better 2 more Romulan mission that just the 1
    ground 1 space.
    - Need to be able to replicate hypos and regenerators instead of going to
    a shop to buy.
    Space, the final frontier

Having played for somewhere between an hour and a half and two hours, I've seen a lot of things that I really like.

I like the Romulan ground exploration thus far, especially in the forest, since sometimes things will (to my untrained eye) just *happen,* and that's pretty neat.

While I like the idea of the reputation system, I'm not sure what I think of a few specifics of its implementation. I probably need some more time to play with it to get a clearer idea of what I think, but the dilithium cost looks a little steep at first blush.
(Incidentally, I noticed that my Borg Tech and EDCs are still in my inventory. I'd be helpful to know how the conversion system will work for those, because I have a *lot* of them on my Holodeck characters.)

I have one nagging little complaint with the S7 modifications that I'm sure no one else would think to comment on, but I think the loading screens looked better without the frame around the art. I dunnow. The smaller art with the frame seems a bit more detached.
The new Hail Starfleet/KDF menu also feels a little cramped. I'm sure I'll get used to it and I'm not sure it's necessarily avoidable.
Again, these are little nagging complaints, but I'm sure no one else is likely to bring them up.

I'm excited for what there is in S7's content that I haven't gotten to yet, and I hope there's more narrative and mystery to be found as we delve deeper into New Romulus. Great job, folks!

(I could not start a new thread, so I am posting the bugs that I found here)

    PvE Queue
    - Does not show the people waiting in the queue, it is very difficult to know which one to join and which ones have no-one waiting (possible not a bug)

    Azure Nebula Rescue
    - multiple people can click on disable tractor beam which are protecting the ships, normally the person that clicked the button would be the "active" person and the button would disappear for everyone else

    The Vault: Ensnared
    - The mission ended and the leave map option appeared before optional objective was completed
    - An additional ship appeared after a ship was destroyed even with the leave map was active (mission ended)

    Hive Onslaught
    - After completing the PvE no Omega marks were given

I just tested out Hive: Onslaught and I love that we finally seem to have an STf where you can be an Engineer in a cruiser and actually contribute something to the fight. the unimatrix Complex in the background and masses of Borg attacking you give it an Epic feel and keeping your group alive over a prolonged time is actually as important as dealing lots of Damage as fast as Possible. I had a blast in my Oddysey, Should possibly start creating shortcut makros for my healing abilitys.

Hope we get more of those. Both the Romulan space missions seem to cater more to escorts again, after all.

Okay -- into the testing, and it's pretty cool.

I like how in the "defeat X of Y" patrol missions, instead of going out to hunt each wave down when they're just floating around, you're actually fighting alongside besiged Romulans and the enemy waves come in one at a time as the last one goes down -- it creates a great continuity of battle and ups the intensity, since you don't get a nice, easy block of time to recuperate between attacks.

The reputation system's... there. It's effectively the same as the others, which is cool, but it bugs me that I go out and patrol or fight deep space encounters on behalf of the Romulans, and maybe get a few marks that don't actually do anything for my rep until I run a project in the system. It's like... "hey, thanks for defending our sector and saving our bacon... but if you want us to actually appreciate your efforts, cough up some dilithium and a few provisions for our troops or stop wasting our time." I expect that from the Fleet or Omega -- the Fleet it's all about building things up, and Omega's part of a wartime effort. The Romulans I'd like to be pretty impressed with how I'm putting my ship, crew and self on the line for them, even if I don't help them build their rec center right away.

I mean -- seriously. I'm at zero Reputation until I cough up Entertainment Provisions for their colony? Fighting off the Tholians is meaningless until I arrange a USO show? Oh, and then it doesn't count for a couple of days -- which means until they actually finish building that rec center, then the heck with me and my help? Borg you, buddies! I'm sorry you can't unlock the shop where I can buy the plasma rifles -- oh yeah, you're not giving me a rifle, I get to buy it -- until after you've finished spending a couple of days putting my 'support' into place even though I'm hosing off the corridors where my crew died during the firefight to get there.

Oh no, wait. I got Marks in that firefight. So you're going to graciously let me help you with building that rec center because I risked life, limb and crew on your behalf. I take it all back!

Seriously, I'm exaggerating my annoyance for comic effect, but this is a bit ridiculous. They came to us for help, and we're doing all this tohelp, but none of it counts before the projects? That doesn't work for this kind of reputation grind -- again, this isn't part of being a task force or building a fleet. This is actually working on behalf of a faction. The projects should be the most lucrative method for Reputation, but they shouldn't be the only one. At the very least, give us the option to burn off Marks for reputation directly.

The Vesta is gorgeous... hanging there in Earth Spacedock, since it doesn't seem to be in the store as yet. Which is fine -- I don't actually mind that. But maybe mention it in the Season 7 notes so people don't try and figure out if they're just not seeing it.

Agreed with the above on the "swapping characters without logging out" thing. It's surprising just how nice a perk that is.

I'll keep going, but I wanted to get my early impressions down. Beautiful sector, well laid out missions, nice UI tweaks, and 'bwah -- the heck is wrong with these people' Romulan Faction Reputation system.

So far so good. Have been testing PVE and like the new changes so far. The new reputation system so far seems to work although the conversion from EDC might confuse me a little but will see what happens.

Have been running around the new sector block doing the dailys and to be honest got confused at times as there is no Patrol pop up any more you pretty much have to go into each system to find out if its a patrol or not.

So far, so good I think. I found it enjoyable that exploration of Tau Dewa System wasn't just go here and look for something or defend a settlement from someone. I enjoyed the fact that you have more options in that regard. Also, while on New Romulus, you have missions that give you many options as well, allowing you to determine how you complete your missions. I like that it gives you that freedom.
