"The fundemental flaw in everything you said is that this is fiction!!! Klingons don't exist!!
What IS real : PWE is a business - they want profit and lots of money - that is ALL that matters. Whether the Feds and KDF join is determined by one factor only : can it make MONEY!!
you people need to get that straight."
First and foremost why are you here then? Its not because this is the hotest mmo out there. I am here for as authentic of a star trek experience as I can get.
As for your friends over in pefect world. You do not want to know what I would do to China given the chance. Well scratch that I am going to be bad and say it anyways. Sense you brought RL into this covo about Fantasy I am going let you in on some history. The chinese are responsible for a great many American deaths, first in Korea, then in Vietnam. So I have no time for perfect world, if cryptic can use and twist them to improve star trek online so much the better.
If you do not care about the lore of star trek or care for cryptic to maintain a authentic star trek universe, then lovei I have another question for you. Why then do continually get involved in threads like this? If its only about a business decision then you should not care what others think.
He's here because he likes getting people all riled up over speculations and the like. He's a troll at heart.
Oh, and I don't care what you have to say in response, levi3. . .you're just a pot-stirrer and overall annoying loudmouth with a penchant for ticking the KDF community off for little or no real reason. That's all I need to know.
My PvP toon is Krov, of The House of Snoo. Beware of my Hegh'ta of doom.
Look at Endgame from VOY - different timeline - voyager makes it home - then Janeway goes into the past with ablative armor - meets herself - gives ablative armor - voyager goes home a different time/route - no future janeway - no Ablative armor and no changes - in an endless circle
but that is canon
Not quite.
The part that affects the prime timeline is canon, the rest is the alternate part.
Perfect example it "Timeless".
You won't find "Voyager crashed on an iceplanet" as a canon part of that ship's history.
The stuff that happens before and after the changes in the timeline that undo that as canon fact, including future Harry's mysterious message to himself.
You will however find the statement that the ship crashed in an alternate reality.
because it's in an episode that's canon.
The event isn't because it was undone.
Or as the official Star Trek homepage put it between 2006 and 2010
"As a rule of thumb, the events that take place within the live-action episodes and movies are canon, or official Star Trek facts."
This is neither since it was undone abd thefore didn't happen.
My guess is this is simply a textbook case of not working communication between the two of us.
But as far a "canon" is concerned - STO through that baby out with the bathwater a long time ago - now its no-holds barred.
So heck Cryptic can and will do whatever they want - and they will do whatever they want with the KDF whether it pisses the players off or not - THAT IS A FACT
Except you totally forgot one player in this matter: CBS.
The people who stopped Cryptic from doing stuff like the Enterprise-J and the T5 Connie.
Cryptic can't do whatever they want because they'll have to get permission first.
And with regards to that remember there was once before an attempt to merge the Klingons into the Federation: in the 2nd season of TNG.
In the episode "Samaritan Snare" Wesley said the Klingons joined the Federation and Picard pretty much agreed with him.
The creators realized what a monumentally stupid idea that was and dropped the whole thing later on.
It's therfore unlikely they'll bring it up again.
If only we could do those things on command, see a Federation ship attack it instantly, and create a pvp signal contact location at random at a random site in a sector block.
It's too weak as a generic space mmo and has little
To no pvp content currently but we can always hope
Indeed. Weren't we promised a complete revamp of PvP not so long ago? Never heard of it again since. Back then I think they said that they considered either removing it completely or introducing a brandnew. reworked PvP system. Then they decided to do the later. We're still waiting.
Well it looks like Cryptic made some progresses with season 7. They listened to feedback and took some decisions. Since dStahl promised us explicitely kdf episodes for season 8 I think the whole team will be committed into this.
It might not be what we expect since the rumors are that season 8 will have a pvp focus (something players play even less than their kdf chars), but let's wait and see.

Why do they do that - how many KDF players would say - ok rip out PvP - expect for some arena or open areas - but finish out the KDF faction instead?
It's not like they have lots of Feds to fight - and with the new Rep system - less and less newbie's are going to want to PvP when the players there already have a grand canyon between them and getting wider with the rep system?
Unless they open up mixed Fed/Kdf teams - or in the future mixed Fed/Kdf/Rom teams - PvP is dead
I really never thought a PVP Race needed more Content. I leveled my Kling. like a Kling should do in battle in the nebulas... sorry for bad english but i think you can get what i am trying to say
It has enough for Level 1-50-60 so give has a new level cap
Only Reason i play Klingon is my Bird of Prey this ships makes more fun to fly then any other on my 3 Fed Fleet Admirals. Bud i only have one Kling Tac at higherst Level and to maybe at 20 dont know long time not used my kling eng and sci cpts.
18 Cpt on the way to 60: 14 of them are already 50 or over 50, one is 60 and 3 almost 43

I stopped paying any heed to the empty words coming from any DEV pertaining to KDF content.
I?ve adopted the show me not tell me rule and I believe nothing that a DEV says until I?ve seen it for myself.
