I am now closing this thread, as there is no constructive debate happening here and no useful feedback to be gained from the infighting.
But first, I have some editorial comments to make. Take it as you will.
Some people like the change to LTS and some don't. While things could have been left at that, people expressing their opinions about the change, agree to disagree, etc. that's not what happened.
People had to start speculating about why the change was made. Which wasn't necessarily bad until it became one more "PWE is Evil!!!" drumbeat accusing PWE of doing this or that, or that PWE is about to do this or that. The outcome is always the same.
I'm not here to defend PWE, or even Cryptic. I am a player, not an employee, just like most of the other posters here. I'm part of the Community.
I am a Volunteer Community Moderator because I believe these forums have a good purpose, and that they support a game that I enjoy playing and the Community that I am a part of. I am here to assist the Community.
I believe that people need to vent and that they have a right to their feelings. I do not believe they have a right to make baseless accusations, make wild speculations, insult or provoke other forum users directly or indirectly, or spread rumors that are harmful to the Community. I don't like the fact that I have to shut down a thread where people were allowed to honestly praise or honestly vent over something Cryptic did, but it's the most powerful tool I have at my disposal to stop something that hurts the Community.
There's more I'm tempted to say, but I won't. Instead, I'm going to ask people to treat others with respect and think about how you're coming across. If we can all do that, then we can get along even when we disagree.
For future reference please remember that it helps a great deal when posts which violate the PWE Community Rules and Policies are not responded to and are reported via submitting a Forums and Website Ticket (click here).
