Disappointed in fleet defiant retro

Can someone explain why I cant use the belfast interior and it defaults to the standard bridge no matter what layout I use ? and no I have checked that im clicking the purchase button (before anyone trys being sarcastic or funny :P)

Very strange, I'm flying a fleet Retro Defiant on one of my Tac's and using the Belfast interior just fine.

well on further testing no matter what bridge or interior i choose it defaults to standard .... wtf

I can confirm - I have three toons with fleet defiants and all of them can run the belfast interior. No idea why you are having problems with it.

Would the fact that my normal non fleet defiant retro is already using the belfast have an effect ? do i need to dismiss my other non fleet defiant retro ? all i know is i want my belfast interior and im running out of ideas here

I can't file a ticket because there is something wrong with the ticket system.
Nor can I do it from website, I'm getting a message saying the site is trying to redirect me in a way that is not possible... Nice going there PW... :mad:

As for the bridge issue, I never bought the belfast bridge to my feds retrofit defiant so I don't use it for that reason...

Now on my klinky Fleet Scourge Destroyer, there is much more strange problem.
I can't change the bridge layout at all on that one, or anything else for that matter. It has a default cost of 1500 ZEN, Yes ZEN, I'm not typoing here. - This is what it wants to charge me in the shipyard customisation even if I do no changes at all! The only thing I can do is cancel all changes and live with the stinky BoP bridge it has now and the default Fleet material. I can't change a thing on it.

What the hell is going on here?

so theres now a bug in changing bridge and interior layouts ? oh come on cryptic surely you cant be that slack and letting things like this go through QA

Yeah... it's annoying, but the problem DOES go away if you buy the C-Store version. BTW, the only fix you should expect is for it to default to the non-Cstore skins.

that makes no sense, my non fleet defiant retro worked fine with the belfast bridge ? you saying the only fix is to own the c store sauo paulo (note i have the c store tactical escort retro) ????

Just bought my Fleet Defiant half hour ago, 12:45 a.m. central, and I was able to put in the Belfast bridge interior. I suspect it's one of those bugs that affect a few. I haven't read what everyone has posted, but all I can suggest is to try relogging.

OK BEFORE I BEGIN IM FULLY AWARE IM WRITING IN CAPS BUT ITS BECAUSE I WANT TO PUT THIS PLAIN AND SIMPLE SO CRYPTIC CAN UNDERSTAND THE ISSUE AND FIX THIS STUPID BUG. I THOUGHT CAPS MIGHT HELP THEM TO UNDERSTAND SEEING AS HOW NON CAPS WRITTEN SENTANCES DONT GET THINGS FIXED.

SCENARIO :

I HAD GONE FROM A NON FLEET DEFIANT RETRO TO A FLEET DEFIANT RETRO. MY NON FLEET DEFIANT HAD THE BEALFAST BRIDGE. WHEN I WENT TO THE FLEET VERSION (WITH THE NON FLEET VERISON STILL IN MY INVENTORY) THEN IM UNABLE TO CHANGE THE BRIDGE ON THE FLEET VERSION TO ANYTHING AT ALL.

TO FIX THIS YOU HAVE TO GET RID OF THE NON FLEET DEFIANT RETROFIT COMPLETELY WHICH WILL THEN ALLOW YOU TO CHANGE THE BRIDGE TO BELFAST (OR ANY OTHERS) ON THE FLEET DEFIANT RETRO

now cryptic i hope you understand that and I will be invoicing you for an hours labor for work in fixing this for you.

FFS SORT YOUR BUG RIDDEN POS GAME ALREADY IM FED UP OF HAVING TO WORK WITH DEVS TO FIX YOUR ISSUES AND YOUR PROBLEMS TO THIS BUG RIDDEN GAME :mad:

Eever since this game launched ive been helping devs, sending in bug tickets, posting youtube videos, sending correspondence to devs about bugs. All I asked was had anyone come across this bug before and in all fairness no one in the community had. I had been on a break from game and didnt know if the post i made was a known issue.

I guess if i come across saracstic or fed up its because I despair about the number of bugs in this game. Its been said time and time again that cryptic has no QA procedures in place. Admittedly my issue wasnt serious but I was being denied being able to use a product I paid for until I had to help myxelf. Whilst I appreciate a dev cant respond to every single bug posted on this forums, it would have been nice to at least seen an acknowledgement or for a dev to have passed it to someone.

I figured the issue out as to what was causing the problem and I hope in posting my resolution that others in the community might find this helpful to enable them to resolve the bug for themselves.

Yeah I guess I do just care about the star trek IP too much, and how cryptic has bastardised star trek with their money grabbing couldnt give a care attitude.

I find the bugs in game at the moment (and there a lot of bugs document in the forums) to be examples of either sloppiness, lack of attention to deal, carelessness etc etc.

As a long time ST fan it would be a privelege to work on a prestige title such as star trek. Why should we have to put up with the state of the game as it is ?? why should their be soo many bugs in the game ?


bugs are a part of human developed software, but the number of bugs and the severe lack of Quality Assurance testing is what grinds my gears here.

So yes forgive my attitude of caring about star trek, forgive my attitude of having played this game since pre launch, I will just learn to severely lower my expectations from now on of cryptic doing anything right or being able to fix a single bug in this game

Thank you for posting this thread. I had the same bug affect me. I had the original Captain Tactical Escort (TE), VA token TE-retrofit, C-store TE-retrofit and purchased the Fleet Tactical Escort.

The system would not let me change the bridge/interior for my original TE retrofit. I sent in a bug report and GM months ago but received no response of any help.

This morning I bought the Fleet Tactical Escort and had the same bug. I read you thread and deleted the VA version. Still was bugged. So I deleted my Captain TE. Problem solved, my Fleet Tactical Escort now shows the Belfast Bridge Defiant Interior.

If any Devs glance at this thread. I believe the bridge/interior for all the Tactical Escorts were linked for my account and the system could not differentiate between each version in the Shipyard User Interface.
