Flaw #1) I was alt tabbed checking the bug reports and when I returned back to the game there was a fleet invite pop up. (accept or decline) Everything the person had typed in his fleet since he sent the invite was visible to me as [FLEET CHAT].
Flaw #2) Friend requests that are ignored act almost if you had accepted the invite. You can look on your friends list and see if they are online/offline and their location (you can also do this using the search function though not as easily) also their names display as if they are friends as well.
Flaw #3) Sending a friend request to someone offline gives no notification to the recipient and it remains in a pending status burried on the friends list. (see flaw #2)
