Exchange Sale Expired: Not Returning Items

As the title stated some of my exchange sales have expired, and I received an automated message from the exchange stating so. The items did not return to my inventory or my bank, and the message I was sent in the mail had a [Take Back Item] Button, but it will not let me click it. What should I do?

    items can only be retrieved from the mail through the mail terminal at a starbase.

    And only the original Exchange poster can claim them...

    NOTE: by this he means the specific character. Other characters on the account can't see those emails at all.
