So I just happened to look at one of my sci toons today and noticed I'm missing 3 field generator consoles from its ship. The just went poof and are now gone. Is cryptic having database errors?
I spoke to another fleet member and he said he had the same thing happen to one of his toons as well. My toon's name is J'N@johnynormus. The ship they went missing on is the recluse carrier.
Have you checked your overflow bag? I may be mistaken, but I believe these were the consoles that were originally engineering consoles but changed to sci consoles a while back.
If they were equipped on your ship as an engineer console when you switch maps, they get removed and put into your overflow bag.

Sci Odyssey and three field generators gone poof. Checked inventory and no overflow bag present, they just vanished. After they changed to sci they appeared in my overflow bag but this time they were equipped in sci slots, which are all now empty with no trace of the consoles at all.

I was thinking the same thing but there was no overflow bag in the inventory. Plus the recluse carrier debuted well after the changes from engineers to science consoles. They were in my sci console spot. Thanks for the reply anyway
edit: i checked my 7 other characters and they are all fine.. just this one experienced this problem.
I got told by a gm that basically i'm out of luck because they can't verify that i had these consoles to begin with. Its a known issue that there is a bug with their database and stuff just magically disappears but to rest assured that they are working to resolve all bugs as quickly as possible even this unknown gameplay bug.
Also I was told that I'm wasting resources by not submitting a bug report and instead requesting gm help.
Well excuse the TRIBBLE out of me why do you have a section for missing items in the gm help if i'm not supposed to request help for missing items?
What am I supposed to spend more dilithium on items only to hope they don't just disappear as well? I'm pissed off. Why should I even play if my TRIBBLE can just disappear and nothing will be done about it?
Here's the deal Cryptic. I'm a beta lifetime subscriber. Go ahead and take a look at my account. I've spent a ton of cash on this game as you can see. I have a bunch of your c-store items. I have all the lock box ships except the tholian orb weaver. I have played this game for 5,166 hours to date. Obviously I'm a fan of this game to say the least.
My problem is you act like I'm trying to scam you out of the $2.15 it would cost to repurchase the consoles. I could easily reacquire the consoles. Its the principle of the matter. I shouldn't have to repurchase something I already bought that I lost because of something that's seriously wrong with your game.
For whatever unknown buggy reason some of my items turned up missing and when I turned to you guys for help I was told its a known issue but there's no record of your purchase so tough luck.
How in the world am I supposed to combat your database errors? How do you expect me to keep records of all my items on all 8 characters so that I can keep the stuff I paid for when it turns up missing through a bug that's no fault of my own? Please tell me because I would love to know.
In the end what would it cost you to replace my items and make this right? Its just silly how you treat your customers when they have a problem with your game because of a bug well out of their control. I hope you're proud of yourselves in how poorly you've treated me. Its a shame you've made the active choice to not take better care of your customers.
