the poll was hard to choose (i literally want all of them developed) but the question was what do you most want to see and what i want to see most is a romulan faction. ive wanted it from the start.
i certainly want more KDF content, more FE etc but these are things we do already have and im sure will continue to be added naturally throughout the life of the game.
the romulan faction is something we dont have so id like to get them in. i fully accept and expect that they will be quite a small faction or somehow will get integrated into the other factions but for nearly 3 years all ive wanted is to fly a d'deridex. once they are in then they can develop the klingons or pvp or whatever to their hearts content.

This is absolutely not the way to prioritize anything. The only thing a poll like this tells you si what got the most votes. It does not in any way tell you what people want 2nd most, because there is no way to know what all the people who voted for the most popular choice would have voted for 2nd. The only way to actually know the order people want things in is to allow them to select the order, not to only vote for one thing.

looks like two clear winners so far romulans would be cool , but loads of people want the KDF done
I think it's easy to guess which option I voted for.
I definitely want more KDF content, and that relates to all forms of content: PvE story missions (like Alpha mission); costume & accessory options (both free and C-store); ships; items & weapons (painsticks, mek'leth), etc. etc.
I've always been a harsh critic of some KDF players acting like the red-headed step children of STO.
That being said, starting a KDF character without having to play a Fed character would certainly help to level the playing field, IMPO. So that's where my vote went. Because it's unwise to ask for a new faction when the KDF isn't yet finished with content; content that could include the Gorn, Nausicans, Orions, etc. There's a wide field from which episode arcs can be created.
It would also give me more of a reason to play my dusty KDF character, even with Mission Replays. I love the stories!

Like the Romulan Alliance System? Of course you do, it sounds fine to you because you aren't Romulans, you're FED or KDF who are going to make a Romulan alt, it makes a HUGE difference in perspective.

Speaking of which, when you bring out the next lock box (I know it's a when and not if) make it good like the Tholian one and don't just pelt us with Cardassian box TRIBBLE.

Better Exploration is going to help you retain users in between content updates. Even if people don't vote for that, making it more worthwhile will benefit the bottom line after the "new" wears off of each content release.

Seems a bit cheap putting in the Romulans, a known faction that people want to play along side an option for improved KDF Content

- Its needed, badly, the episodes some time leave you halfway though a level and unable to take the next mission, and there isn't a lot you can do without grinding
Improve PVP
We have daily missions for PvP, the only place you can really get it done is Kerrat, the PvP Queues are dead 90% of the time, with queues like 1 KDF to 8 Feds
Improve Crafting
Right now crafting doesn't seem rewarding really, I've gotten one toon's crafting all the way up and theres nothing making me rush to craft, no special crafting schematic , the silly amount of dililitum needed for the good items
More Foundry Improvements
With the creativity of the players we could make a ton of well planned missions and enjoyable missions, however the foundry could do with improvements, like being able to build your own rooms from scratch without having to use a pre-existing exterior map
Improve Exploration
Most Exploration gets repetitive really fast, newer ideas would be nice
More Feature Episodes
Considering that the Dominion one is rather high up now (RA 46+), We need some more arcing stories for the lower levels as opposed to the missions we have now, it would make a nice change from playing the same set of missions over and over while leveling
More Fleet Missions / STFs
What we have now is quite nice for Fleets, the STFs are quite repetitive and you often have to grind though all of them to be able to have enough EDC for the Techs, and then when you try for the PBTs You hear of people getting 2-3 each time they rerun the Elites, yet the luck doesn't seem to be on other players side
Improve Duty Officer System
- What we have is nice at the moment, its a nice system
More Rare Ships
Not too fussed on this, though I'd like to see more variety for the lower end ships or the return of the costumes to the C-Store (Now that people can earn Zen now they might wish to get them)
Playable Romulans
Until Klingons are fleshed out I dread to think how the Romulan faction would turn out considering how bad the Klingons have had it, Limited customisation, limited ship selection, gaps in leveling? is this really what people want just so they can play romulans?

more mini mission's like the Friday the 13th mission but to add more universe story to it e.g. when D'Vak became head of the special task force for feds and kdf you could have escorted him to Qo'nos, had a bit of song and bloodwine about the whole thing and maybe a bit of grandson & grandfather interaction with Worf & D'Vak or whenever the federation is getting non-starfleet ships the how and why of it all or when the Farasan's joined the KDF more how when and why.

Exactly. If you want to find out more . you sometimes send emails about new stuff in game. Why not do some bigger pool with more Q, about 1st, 2nd or 3rd . And give some tribble reward for that . Then you will get a lot of more usefull data.

If the KDF is only 16% of the games base (it's a constant) and voted for more KDF content, do the other answers get multiplied up to represent the remaining 84% of the playerbase ?

just remember gaming is a two way street. sometimes the company has to push the players were they dont want to go for the betterment of the game and sometimes the players have to push the company into a spot that it doesnt want to go itself.
Here's something I'd like to know also that didn't get answered in this Ask Cryptic... more stuff to do on my ship interior? A shuttlebay? Holodecks? And remember, don't make the shuttlebay too big, because as it is Engineering in already pushing the envelope on my Defiant.

But to repeat the point: there is no way to know what the 2nd most popular choice is, because there is no way to know what all the people who voted for the 1st most popular choice would vote for 2nd. My current thoughts have been that a healthy PvP system will need two healthy factions. KDF has been getting better, but it needs the final push to get it to where it needs to go. Once that happens, then PvP improvements will go much farther towards what will be useful for the long term health of the game.
