Plasma Fire Lag/FPS Killer

Plasma Fire On any thing close up kills my FPS and causes me to die 99% of the time (1% being borg crits) and it needs to be fixed!

I can play on HD settings and EVERY one tells me i cant run it.... but i did and recorded it and the only thing that heats me is plasma dot

Warp Plasma
Plasma Dot
Borg Dot

All are too dense and soon as i see them my FPS cuts from 60-150 right down to 0.1 FPS on Borg Cubes

Make an option to make plasma fire less... of a pain

(by the way some how plasma fire lag more in low settings than high might want to look at that)
