Want a wider range of ships, and a richer play experience?

If you want a wider range of ships, and a richer play experience, play KDF.

Despite what some people may say, the KDF experience can be epic! Whether you want a hot Orion on your screen, or a huge bipedal lizard that can actually bite your enemies, and take them apart every which way. If you want to delve in rich Klingon lore, or mess your enemies minds as an enigmatic Lethean, you will find the power you are craving.

Live The Legends

I know that KDF content is short, but once you get past the tutorial run around Quo'Nos, you will find that you're immersed in tales of intrigue and treachery as you unravel a mystery. Maybe we are short on quantity, but the quality will impress!

After the first round of unique content, you will play the Devedian featured episode, but just around the corner you will find yourself in one of the most scenic episodes in the game. It is called "Trapped" is a work breathtaking art, the story and voice work is excellent, and only KDF can play!

An ancient legend, or an alien power playing on Klingon racial memories poses questions which need an answer if the Empire is to survive. Attacking through strange portals, the Fek'lhr are back, and you're going to need serious help. Such a challenge requires a hero no less than Kahless. Will you find that kind of inspiration?

Come Fly With Us!

Klingon ships are incredible. Incredible if you can master them! The iconic Bird Of Prey has options undreamed of by Federation players. They are nimble like shuttles, the hitting power of an escort, but their hulls are not so strong. You'll need an accurate and evasive build and style. If you can master the BoP, you will be what Federation players call "overpowered."

Klingon cruisers are tanks that can play like an escort. You can mount dual heavy cannons on every Klingon ship, and even the heavy Neg'var can turn swiftly. Tanky and powerful, Klingon cruisers provide an experience unknown by a Federation captain, unless they were lucky enough to have won a Ferengi or Cardassian lship.

Of KDF carriers, the Vo'quv, and Kar'fi offer a better variety of play. The Vo'Quv can house Birds of Prey, To'Duj fighters, and other great choices which are opened by investments. Both can mount dual cannons, but the Kar'fi is quite nimble for a carrier, and more tactically oriented. Kar'fi's special ships, the Fer'jai Frigates, and S'Kull fighters are insane! You have to play these ships!

Now go start your KDF captain, and write your glory in the stars!

This commercial interruption was brought to by the We Kill Tribbles Foundation of Qo'noS. :D
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Tried a klink character and found the red interface and bridge noises to get on my nerves within minutes. Gave it an earnest go but it made me hate playing. Sorry!!

I prefer to be a gun-blazing good guy over a Mis-represented bad of thugs.

Fed untill the KDF are re-worked entirely.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

played KDF after someone said that is quite okay.. found out that it was just a copy and paste of the federation missions. only a few differences noted in a very few missions. never logged in as KDF anymore since then.

A tragedy that some of the KDF sets aren't recycled in later missions. The first few missions have unbelievably cool sets (Q'onos lowlands, Forcas III, Bowels of Drozena) are reason enough to play KDF. Even Ganalda station is awesome.

I concur. The KDF have some of the best Missions, and coolest Sets, in the entire game - not to mention some butt-kicking ships. :)

Some are, some are completely different and not like anything you'll ever see on the Fed side, like the episodes with the Fek'lhr. That is something you'll never see Fed side, or anything even remotely like it.

The Fek'lhri missions are quite nice, indeed, though 1-2 of 'em seemed to have glitchy environment interface, and walking around in Gre'thor was a pain in the butt :P

Wish we had more stuff like that. Maybe something to do with the Hurq, or some other tenacious enemy out of Klingon history and legend.
