Purchased Fleet Defiant costs 4 fleet modules....

Both a fleetmate of mine and myself purchased the original Defiant. We both purchased the San Paulo. We've been in the same fleet for 2 years. So why is it that both of us are being told by the ship vendor that we have to pay 4 fleet modules for the fleet defiant?

And why does the c-store say we can claim the San Paulo that we purchased and yet the original Defiant is set at a price of 2000 zen? Is anyone else having this issue? Because we've counted 3 players in our fleet with this problem so far.

Let no other Captain discourage you from what you believe you can achieve in PvP. Debuffs and Disables be damned! Charge up your Backstep and Forge your build out of Lock Boxes, Consoles, and Flash Sales feeding off of only your pure will to chain, spam, and hax your way forward. You will not be forgotten to history.

The Defiant you get for free in game is not the same as the Defiant in the C-store. There is a Defiant Escort Refit (Captain level ship) and a Defiant Escort Retrofit (VA, Tier V ship). The fleet version is only available for the 1 fleet module price if you have previously bought the Tier V retrofit Defiant (2000 zen version) not used the Tier III Captain Defiant Refit.

Hope that clears things up for you.

Oh, and the Sao Paulo is just a reskin/quad cannon tier III ship that unlocks the Belfast bridge and the type 10 shuttle. Has nothing to do with the fleet/tier V retrofit Defiant.

    Sorry.

Also, if you use the 600 day vet reward VA ship token to get a Defiant retrofit, it doesn't count as a "purchase" for the purpose of buying the fleet version for 1 fleet module, either.

Thank you for your reply. I purchased the original Defiant off of the C-store. Which means it should be available for purchase like every other ship i've bought off the C-store. it is not. And my fleetmates are having the same issue. I am aware the San Paulo is a lower level ship but I wanted to include it in the original post so anyone responding understands that both my fleetmates and I have both variants. And they were not purchased with fleet emblems or VA tokens but off the C-store. Thank you for your reply.

Odd. I purchased the tier V retrofit Defiant from the C-store and the fleet variant properly lists as 1 fleet module for me.

Prior to FTP all VAs were given a ship token to get a T5 Defiant, Galaxy, or Intrepid for free - you could choose 1 of the 3 ships. Those ships were not "purchased" from the C-Store. They were free. I only bring this up because a lot of people might have forgotten those ships were free - and thus think because a character has a T5 Defiant that they must have purchased the C-Store version at some time in the past.

In order to qualify for the 1 Fleet Module price you need to have purchased the Account-wide T5 Defiant in the past not used your VA token on the free version. I don't know if that's the OP's situation but I wouldn't be surprised if they just forgot about never purchasing a T5 Defiant in the past.

One quick way to check is to go into the C-Store in-game and see if it allows you to Claim a T5 Defiant (not the Fleet) on every character you have. If it does not, or if it shows you need to purchase the ship with Zen, that is a good indicator that you never purchased the T5 Defiant. I'd check with that first.

If you find that you have purchased the T5 Defiant perhaps the game only recognizes you for 1 Module if you have that actually ship slotted into the game rather then the Free version - but that's just a wild guess on my part.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

The Belfast bridge and the Type-10 shuttle are parts of the Deep Space Nine bundle. Buying the San Paolo does not unlock those.

Yep, you're right. Sorry. The quad cannons were with the Sao Paulo.
