I keep doing the surveys, and I guess being single and 30+ disqualifies you for so many of these surveys. I couldn't even qualify for a MOVIE survey. sigh.
I hear ya, I was able to get like 10 dollars in free offers and after that I have not been able to achieve any free zen so I went back to purchasing them only!
I guess those survey guys do not really want an accurate survey!
I stopped even trying.. Most of the time, they all say I do not qualify for what their advertisers are looking for. The kickers have been the last few times where I spend 5+ minutes filling out their surveys only to be told at the very end that I did not qualify. This latter, to me, is a scam.

The surveys are a scam. One of the guys in my fleet did one and checked the code while he was doing it. He found the code line, that deliberately cause's the survey to not give out the zen. It puts an error in so EVERYONE doesn't qualify.
Don't feel bad, they pnly shaft you at the end when you can not finish unless you buy something or signup for an offer that you must later cancel unless you wish to be autocharged.
Frankly its a fishing expedition for info for marketing.
I stopped trying the surveys for the same reason. I had watched a video on the new Samsung Galaxy and got the three zen from it. I thought I would just watch for the videos. I ended up watching the Cadillac vid a dozen times with no zen. Did a few of the other offers too with nothing to show. It is all nothing but a scam and a waste of time. It is a shame that there are major companies that are associated with this scam. Wonder if they know. Could be costing them potential customers.
Getting disqualified from surveys is the same problem you get on those sites that give you money for doing them. The people who sign up to take surveys and get paid are almost universally not the people that marketers actually want to research.
For example, there's one in my list right now about diesel freight truck brands. I'll bet right now I won't pass qualification because even as a business owner, a freight truck of any fuel type is somewhat outside of my budget.

If the survey states that you "may not qualify", then chances are it's a scam.
If the company were operating in a proper manner, they would either:
indicate the target demographic in the description (which may skew results), or
pay out to all respondents, and filter afterwards.
I did 3 surveys on my iPad yesterday while watching the Olympics; and qualified for 2 of them, making just under 160 Zen in about 30 minutes. Beverages and Grocery Store surveys are my friends, shoes are not.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
There is a bunch I have been disqualified from but there actually have been some good ones. I've made 2500+ zen from surveys mostly...and the rare other things that don't require any of my personal info or me downloading/installing junk I don't want on my computer in the first place.
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
I just tried one that didn't even ask me a single question. Hit "I agree" and it immediately went to a "Congratulations! You got 0 zen!" page.
Not a single one of the surveys has ever granted me anything. I always get disqualified from them at some point. The only offers that have given me anything were videos, the cough syrup "robotrip", and playing Deal or No Deal.
The offers aren't worth it. It's less annoying to grind for dilithium and sell it.
This kind of stuff is the domain of Facebook scammers and virus payloads and Perfect World are offering advertisers their playerbase's information? What the hell else are they doing with our details??!?

Apparently you never bothered to actually look at the Surveys. The only details they get are the ones you choose to give them when doing the Survey.

I have looked at the surveys and every single one of them rings alarm bells. These are the same unscrupulous advertising companies that fill you inbox with spam.
Want proof? The address I have linked to my STO account recently received two pieces of spam E-Mail from Planet49. Funnily enough, these are one of the advertising partners in the surveys, can't miss them because they throw an advert for a prize draw in your face. The same prize draw that I got spam for even though I haven't clicked on the Planet49 link!
Wonder how long until we see Cialis adverts in there....
That's odd considering that I have now done 7 Surveys and haven't received a single spam email. I guess my stock Gmail account is just too secret for them to find and spam me.

Some people are luckier then others. Doesn't change the fact they are recklessly encouraging their customers to provide information to companies that are clearly E-Mail spammers.

If you don't want to do them, don't. It's just that simple. What do you care what someone else chooses to do with their time? If I choose to make 1,000 Zen doing a Survey that's my business, just like if you choose not to that's your business. It's all about free will and free choice. I'm smart enough to know the things I dislike others might like. Everyone's not a clone of me.

I've been doing these for a long time, my main gripe is that sometimes the surveys do work, but they don't reward the zen. Peanut Labs should get on that. If I complete a survey then I should get my zen right?
I could just walk away, or I could highlight the dangers posed by this affiliation so others don't get ensnared. This topic already hints at a shady grab the information and run tactic, others in this forum report getting no rewards. The tactic in itself is associated with malware and fraud and utilising companies involved in unwanted and in some cases criminal activity. Guess what, I didn't sign up for any Planet49 TRIBBLE so why are they sending it to me? According to current regulations, if I didn't opt in (which I haven't!) the spam E-Mails are breaching the law.
So are you really willing to give your private information to a company that flouts the law? How many other companies hidden behind that banner will do the same? Happy to sell yourself down a river to win a handful of pixel coins and a free iPad?
No reputable gaming company should have a blazing banner at the top of their forum or any part of their business affiliated with scammers looking to prey on their customers with incentives like this. But I'm sorry, you clearly aren't a customer anymore by signing up to these but merely a product.
