Force Verify files not working?

Had an issue with graphics at the Klingon Academy, about certain files being corrupted, and it needing to run a verify. However, each time I boot in with that Force Verify checked, the game sits there at the 'patching' prompt and doesn't seem to do anything.

Any ideas?

    What Anti-Virus are you using? Something is preventing the patcher from modifying the files, and Anti-Virus packages having an exclusive lock on the files while scanning are the prime suspect in causing this... (I use Norton/Symantic myself, and never have any problems)

    You should go into you Anti-Virus configurations, and exclude the STO directories from the Anti-Virus scans...

    It finally worked, after I left the computer for an hour...

    Good note on excluding the STO directory, though. Done. Thanks much.
