Fleet bank lag getting worse (resolved!)

I'm used to it taking up to thirty seconds. Today however it is minutes.

    Its starting to hit the player bank as well. So its no longer just the fleet bank.

    For the love of god... PLEASE FIX THE BANK LAG.... something that should take me 3 seconds to put stuff into our fleet bank is taking upwards of 3 - 5 MINUTES to complete. I drag something in... and have to wait MINUTES for it to arrive.

    This effects Personal Bank, Fleet Bank, Account bank. and its happening to 10+ members of our fleet, so not localized to just me.

    Sadly, there has been lag as long as I can remember with banks. It's amazing how bad it is. It's also not just lag with items, but with setting permissions too.

    Haven't really had it with my personal and account banks, but yeah Fleet Bank is just awful.

    I withdraw a bunch of items, put them into the bank and than go make a sandwich and get a drink while I wait.

    I swear it's been bad for awhile but it's gotten so much worse lately.
    I was once DKnight1000, apparently I had taken my own name so now I'm DKnight0001. :confused:

    I'd certainly like to see more use of sliders with higher maximums. But even more I'd like to be able to play the gamer instead of waiting two minutes to drop one item into the fleet bank! ;)

    For goodness sake Cryptic, PLEASE release a patch for this already!

    I couldn't stand another week of this bloody fleet bank lag. It's getting ridiculous now! I literally have to wait a couple of minutes for anything to transfer and it freezes other options in the process!

    20 seconds on average to pull one item from fleet bank. 5 seconds for the personal bank.

    Even though there are tons of threads and posts on this, I feel I must continue to display my annoyance with this bank lag issue. It is THE MOST ANNOYING thing in the game right now, for me. Even more-so than the dilithium system that I loathe so very much.

    Yeah, to say this is annoying would be like saying sulphuric acid doesn't taste very good. Well okay, maybe not. But c'mon Cryptic, we've got stuff to do other than stand around at our local bank console, after first strafing left and right for a few minutes to find one of the increasingly rare interactable spots, to then wait while the thing queues up the six items we dragged to inventory on its TO-DO list.

    It's an off and on thing for me. Sometimes it makes me wait. Then it doesn't. And then it does again. But not many people go to the bank to spend half an hour there. We 'swing by' the bank to get some large hypos on the way to our next STF. Chop-chop!

    Also, on a possibly related note, some of the vendors and replicator seem to have this lag as well. My guess is it's got to do with the starbases. The number of items changing location, being created or being removed at any given moment has probably increased (several) tenfold(s) with season 6. Might be an unforeseen stress issue. And there's only one way to fix those. (Which I'm guessing is probably why the damn spacesuits cost an arm, a leg and half a firstborn. Unexpected expenses.)

    I have a character stuck now because of this mess.

    It says "could not log out one of your characters try again later."

    Good thing they could all get together to go to Vegas because this issue isn't game breaking.

    Since Season 6 hit there has been severe lag when using the fleet bank. Now it is doing something new: after using the fleet bank on 2 different accounts I can no longer log into the game.

    The error states: "Could not log out one of your existing characters."

    The game was fine until I opened the fleet bank on both accounts, so that seems to be the culprit.

    Restarting the computer/game client doesn't help. I can't play until this is addressed.

    Update: After about 15 minutes the account seems to time out and I can log in again. Not going to use the fleet bank until this is fixed.

    The UI lag is completely ridiculous. The stuff I wanted to put in the bank has finally got in after 10 freaking minutes. Same thing with trying to send team invites, moving the inventory, trading, and the exchange. All took 10 freaking minutes. Do something about it, jeez.

    Yes, for the love of _______ (insert deity here) please fix this issue. Was trying to do some fleet banking at Starfleet Academy, finally gave up and attempted to beam to sector. After 10 minutes of waiting (Solitare is a great time killer....) I was timed out. It took three attemps to log my character back in after that (safe transfer to last non mission map). Turns out the bank transfers were messing up my characters' movements from instance to instance.

    This is only getting worse. PLEASE move this issue to the top of the to do list.

    having the same issues here......which also include fleet invites...equiping items, etc. @rrincy why put it there, when no one looks at those forums. Atleast here maybe the playerbase will see is and draw enough attention to it to get a hotfix in. This really is making the game unplayable

    Simply lag between client and server, nothing to be done expect trying to fix ur internet or try a proxy.

    I highly doubt it's ISP related as people from different continents are having the same issues.

    It is definitely not lag. If you can play as part of a team, communicating back and forth, and fighting together... all that works fine.

    It is only the moving of gear between inventories / banks, sending / receiving mail, etc that is held up.

    Definintely Cryptic's problem.

    Definitely not an ISP problem, it's at PW's end. You can bank normally, but anything like a Fleet Bank, opening boxes (Nukara, Lockboxes), or even zoning has slowed up a ton. Right now I've been stuck zoning out of DS9 for the past 10 minutes and I'm really starting to get frustrated.

    Hopefully they are already busy trying to fix it. But not having us wait to Thursday.

    ok here goes i have been experimenting with this bank lag issue.

    1. if i try to interact with the fleet bank at all it takes 10 / 20 minutes for a item to go to or from my inventory, it also makes rest of game play unplayable then when i try to log out/ exit game then try to log back in it says could not log out one or your existing characters, please try again shortly. so finally about after 20 minutes of trying to get back in it finally lets me get back into the character list and log back in and about 25 % of the time the item/items have left inventory for bank or vice versa.

    now if i do not interact with the fleet bank part if i just look at fleet bank i have 0 problems, i can log in /out , i can use account bank and personal bank no problem.

    i am fleet banker so i have to be able to access and interact with the fleet bank on a daily basis.

    please get your act together and fix this issue.

    i never had bank lag before season 6

    Well in that case its probably lag in cryptics database where all the data is stored, yes.

    I too have encountered the same issue. When trying to move items between my inventory AND the fleet bank, usually takes what seems like forever for the transfer to be made. After trying to move items, I would sign out and sign into another character and I'd also get the same issue of not being able to get to my character list or I'd receive the message indicating that STO could not log one of my characters out...

    Similar thing here. Figured out that until your requested transfers/moves complete, your stuck waiting. I submitted a ticket, numbered close to 2 million. Hopefully gets addressed before everyone leaves for weekend....

    it isn't just bank lag now. Its become mission pick-up and mission complete lag. Doff assignment submission lag. Map-moving lag. Inventory re-arrangement lag.

    It took 10 minutes to complete the lore assignment. 3 minutes to turn over contraband. 30 seconds to sell an item to a vendor. I gave up trying to move items into the fleet bank after 15 minutes, half of them moved. I'm writing this while waiting for a map move to system space completes. Oh wait, that timed out, now I waiting for the character screen to load.

    Cryptic at least tell us whats going on with the lag issues even if you can't fix them yet. I'd at least like to know why I spend half the game time waiting for things to happen now.


    UPDATE: Now I can't login because: "Could not log out one of your existing characters"

    Same issue here as well. Definitely Cryptic's server.... Everyone keep posting so this issue will hopefully get some immediate attention so this can be fixed NOW before everyone takes off for weekend....

    Yea I know not everyone takes off, but the one's that make the big calls will....

    Yeah...now I can't log into the game...awesome...and I was thinking about buying some more doff slots!!!.....NOT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!

    Edit: got past character selection this time...and am now stuck on map loading!!!! guess the lag is cascading to other sections of the game1
