Cannot figure out how the is player named "buga" running all of those buffs at the same time in a non-combat situation?

Anyone else seen anything like this or can explain it?

    They may be buffs from successfully completed DOFF missions.

    All 14 of them?
    It's not impossible.

    It's very rare and unlikely that person would find that many at once (and Crit them), but it's not impossible, as there's no limit on how many you can have at once (I've seen 8 at once one time, in Sector Space). Somehow 14 doesn't seem too much of a stretch
    Was named Trek17.

    Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.

    It's possible that this person is doing on doff missions. I'm pretty sure that doff buff timers pause when you are offline allowing you to get more when you sign on again. I'm also sure that timers don't display correctly in sector space.

    A real bug is how every team mate on a different map shows up as a tac fed officer even if you are on the kdf side.

    Space buff timers only count down while you are logged in* and in space**. Meanwhile, the DOFF assignment timer counts down even while you are logged off.

    The user in question could have spent a few days logging into Starfleet Academy, kicking off a few Personal DOFF assigments, and logging off. After a week or two of this, he ventures out into space and gets his photo taken.

    * I'm positive about this
    ** Not as sure about this

    I've done this sort of thing a few times before when I fancy a long STF grind.

    You don't need them all to crit at the same time, because the bonuses don't start until you complete the mission in the DOff page.

    I'll queue up 20, maybe 7 will crit - so I'll leave them, acknowledge the ones that don't, pick up a load more, another 5 crit, then you've got 12 queued up and ready to go for when you fancy using them.

    Mass-spam the "collect" button on the doff completed assignments page and voila, an insane amount of assignment buffs that last the same amount of time.

    Yeah it's dead easy to game the system to produce that effect as topset explained. Not worth the hassel IMHO, but doable.

    It's useful, but not THAT useful. The buffs barely last long enough to do a few missions.
