TRIBBLE Maintenance and Release Notes - July 6, 2012

    General:
    • The Tholians are coming.
      • Level 50 players can find their Invasion in the Nukara system in the Eti Eridani sector block.
    • Bridge Officer skillpoints are now known as Expertise.
      • The UI has been updated in many places to reflect this change.
    • Unreplicateable Materials are now available in the Dilithium store.
    • Updated the names for several KDF Starbase Alert Accolades.
    • The KDF Warrior's Hall once again allows only melee combat.
    • The space warp in and warp out audio is back.
    • KDF Assignment "Transport Settlers to the D'kel Star Cluster" now warns the player that the colonists will be lost upon assignment completion.

    Fleets:
    • The KDF Mine-Laying Battleship Operational Asset no longer appears in the Federation store.
    • Added Duty Officer transfer assignments that will exchange one Green, Blue or Purple doff for 3 of a tier lower.
    • Added new tiered advancement projects that generate credits and xp but no provisions.
    • Slightly reduced xp from provision assignments.
    • Increased fleet credit costs of provisioned gear.
      • This does not include consumables.
    • Players will donate Expertise, formerly Bridge Officer Skillpoints, in blocks of 25.
      • Each block of 25 will provide 1 fleet credit.
    • Updated Federation Starbase interiors:
      • Moved the locations of various vendors to different floors.
        • Military floor: Ship selector, ship vendor.
        • Engineering floor: Ship tailor.
        • Science floor: Bridge Officer trainer, Captain Retrainer.
    • Added Transwarp to Feet Starbase power to all players.
      • Only works if player is in a fleet with a T1 Transwarp.
    • Starbase Operational Assets can now be used with weapons and auxiliary offline.
      • Reduced Starbase Phaser Lance and Disruptor Lance damage by 50%.
      • Changed the proc for fleet elite disruptor weapons.
        • This proc now has a chance to vaporize targets that are already very low on health.
    • Changed unlocks for provisioned gear to be based on Industrial Fabricator or Science Array level rather than starbase xp level.
    • Projects all use 6 items or fewer for contributions.
    • Operational Assets now come in different tabs for Engineering, Military, and Science.
      • Ground and space have separate stores.

    Foundry:
    • The following custom costumes have been updated to display correctly:
      • Corsair Flight Deck Carrier
      • Dacoit Flight Deck Carrier
      • Phalanx Science Vessel
    • Added descriptions for the behaviors Legacy Combat and Legacy Contact.
    • Resolved the issue that erroneously allowed Leave From: Whole Map on Cryptic maps.

    Systems:
    • Updated Security Escort, Security Crewmen and Shard Of Possibilities Shadows so they now properly land critical hits.
    • Security Escort HP properly increases with player's Squad Command skill.
    • Normalized HP, Damage and Shields for Fed and Klingon Security Escorts.
      • They were not consistent.
    • Increased the time it takes for Security Escort to beam out if you are not in combat.
    • Improved Shard Of Possibilities Shadows HP, Damage and Shields.
    • Shard Of Possibilities Shadows will now always last 60 seconds.
      • They won't leave if you are not in combat.
      • Improved and corrected tooltips for Shard Of Possibilities.
    • Updated Freighter Transwarp Destinations.
      • Removed duplicate Arucanis Arm Starcluster.
      • Added Afehirr Nebula and B'Tran Cluster.
    • Updated the Jem'Hadar Attack Ship, Cardassian Galor, and Ferengi D'Kora so they have bonus HP, bonus shields, and an additional console slot so they are competitive with the fleet ships.
    • Reduced the cooldown of "Experimental Borg Device" from 10 seconds to 5 seconds.
    • Updated the tooltip on Immunosupport Nanites that incorrectly said +20% melee damage to instead display -20% melee damage as intended.
      • This is a text-only update.

    UI:
    • The fleet the character is in is now displayed on the login screen.
    • Costume and body variants in the tailor and character creation are now working as expected.
    • Ships in the tailor now show a preview of their updates when options are moused over.
    • Updated Mirror Universe event journal preview to show the new Mirror Universe ship skins.
    • Updated the headers on available fleet projects list so they stretch when the text word wraps.
    • Added event filmstrip images for Starbase Blockade and Starbase Incursion.
    • KDF contacts should no longer use the Federation overhead icons.
    • The "Others" ship filter in the Federation ship store has been re-added.

    Known Issues:
    • Tholian reward boxes are not dropping weapons as they should.
      • Sometimes the box is empty when you open it.
        • This is not intentional.
    • The Expertise contribution window is displaying the wrong amount of Expertise you own as well as how much you can contribute.
      • If you try to contribute more than you have, it will fail.
      • To see how much expertise you have, check the Skills menu on one of your Bridge Officers and keep the contribution amount under that number.
    • Some interacts on the second floor of the Tholian cave are behind pods and cannot be claimed.
      • You can still complete the mission without these.
    • In the Tholian Invasion, all Engineer pets catch fire and explode.
    • Prisoners involved in the Interspacial Inquiry mission are on fire.
      • Interspatial is misspelled too.

    The forum times are in pacific time unless you have regionally offset them, which is an unavailable option since the forum changes a couple weeks back. Unless they fixed that..?

    and I don't think "bowed" is the version you were looking for.

    it's only a few hours late, that's not nearly enough to say that the update 'doesn't bode well'

    Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.

    This is an example of what I don't like about Tribble updates.
