her death ray fires right after she de-cloaks, which means getting out of the way is now pretty much impossible.

    Shift power to engines when she cloaks. Use Evasive Maneuvers or Attack Pattern Omega to clear the arc. This is not a bug.

    Actually, it is. The weapon fires as soon as the ship decloaks. There is no 5-10 seconds of time, like there usually is, to avoid the arc of the weapon; it's instant and results in immediate death. I've encountered this bug several times now.
