And the year and a half before PW, many more devs had come and gone. I understand that these guys are more visible to you guys, so it seems like a bigger change, but really, people come and go all the time, for differing reasons.

    Jump ship?
or used their success to follow what they really wanted and gain more money?

Yeah... I think its to move into things they really wanted and get more money.

Can I blame them for that? NOPE!

In business, just how it is.

Hey Gozer, thanks for the hard work and the great visions, Luck and prosperity follow you as you chase your dreams good Sir.

    People leave jobs for all sorts of reasons;
    Get fired/laid off.
Not happy with what they're working on.
Not happy with the people they work with.
    Want more money.
    Want to move somewhere else.
    Want to try something new.
Want to work on something different.
    Want a new position.
Feel it's better for their career.
Really want to work for company x.
Really want to work on project y.
    Are afraid of clowns.

The game industry is no different, people leave for a myriad reasons. Not everyone leaves for bad reasons.

Thought you were "ready to do something different than MMO's" back in 2010. Looks like you either never left, or came back not long after.

How long should we expect this "readyness" to last before you return to Cryptic?

He was "ready to work on MMOs for another company that scrapped its MMO after luring him to move cross country" in 2010.

Actually your statement isn't true at all.

I left Cryptic, moved cross country to work on a MMO that will be out next year. Elder Scrolls Online and no I will not tell you anything about it. :)

After I was there for a couple months, I realized that if I still wanted to work on MMO's that Cryptic was really the only place I wanted to be. Cryptic is a great company and If I still wanted to work on MMO's I would not be leaving.

Can you do us a huge favor? Travle back across country and make them make a Fallout MMO

So you're leaving the field of MMO's entirely then?

    I stand corrected.

In any case, I understand an encounter with Kevin Smith led to your decision? What's the deal?

Wouldn't you rather have Jesse Heinig do that? http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Jesse_Heinig

Of course I kinda like him right here where he is. :)

I've got to ask, do you just hate me or something? could you please warn us if your going to post something like that... I like many in this world suffer from Coulrophobia... The fear of clowns and you've got me in tears at the moment. I don't do well with clowns, they scare the living daylights out of me and it would of been nice to have a heads up...

    keep up the good work.

Have you played much Elder Scrolls? Morrowind, most importantly? Skyrim is acceptable as well.

If so, then please, for the love of the Nine, do right by them. I want ESO to be awesome, but so far it just sounds like a Guild Wars clone, and not in the good way. Shoehorning races into factions is bad enough, but to totally subvert the gameplay we know and love...

...come to think of it, do me a favor and punch whoever made that decision in the face for me. Just once will do, but make it count.

I think you misunderstood. That's where he went the first time. This time he's going to Ubisoft Quebec to work on something other than MMOs.

    Oh. Derp.

Well I still hope he punched the guy. Unless he's the one that made that call, then I hope he punched himself. Seriously that was an irritating thing to learn.

There's just so many ways a person could take this...

And more importantly does it involve the Borg in anyway because if so that could take it to a completely new level... :P
