The Vesta is a truly wise purchase, M'Vore must congratulate it =^.^=. It seems no matter what else M'Vore tries flying, he keep on coming back to it. There is just no ship quite as flexible and survivable, and the all 3 consoles together make for almost 3 panic buttons which with a conservative rotation of use could be used every 60 seconds.

The elachi escort, adapted destroyer, Mirror MVAE, Attrox, Obelisk, those lonely dry docked storage ships all wish he never heard of it :P!

With how much I love my Elachi Escort....Vesta outclasses it entirely....To make it all the better, I put the Adapted MACO set on there, the Obelisk warp core, and the Plasmonic Leach! Come to find out, I can get those Auxiliary Cannons to hit for 1,000+ per bolt! And I have to add, Doc, if not for you and Aero boasting so much about Vesta, I might never have looked into buying it. Thank you both! :D

And I was thinking about what we would get for an animal species for Romulan side. I then realized....I want to be a Mog, that way I can be my own best friend! :D

I have decided that Canelow is not unique enough, being an insane criminal, half-Iconian/half-Ferasan, bisexual feminist from the Mirror Universe. So right now she's a blank slate that needs a back story.

I had an idea. What if she was a being born from the cyber universe and she was incarnated in the real world in her current form (something like those subspace holograms in VOY "Bride of Chaotica")? That would explain a lot of the inconsistencies of Ferasan anatomy *points at bosom and legs* and it would be unusual. Of course kyubi would expel me from the plasma belly but I'll find a way back in!

If you really are into your aux cannons like I am, just make sure to use the tactical variant. Currently I have 4x phaser blue XI consoles for it and xi blue accx2 turrets 3x aft. getting slightly higher Damage than 1000 if I recall correct, and the dps each is certainly more even before scatter volley comes into play. And also have your Ltc uni a tac station for maximum benefit to the cannons, you'll still have much better survival over any typical escort with your 3 universal consoles (I put leech and those all into the 4 science slots).

For power, I usually run full aux, and then rest into weapons for the turrets, but if against a heavy threat enemy like Voth or Borg tac cubes, I put into shields instead of weapons. Be sure to have saved presets to quickly switch between such settings of power.

Double tactical team 1, double scatter volley 1, attack pattern beta 2. EPTS 1 and 2, double polarize hull 1, HE 2 & 3, and gravity well 3.

Gear is full borg xi again, I just couldn't keep shields up using adapted maco, capacity does me no good if it doesn't stay healed up. iconian warp core or whoever's core it is, double elite neutroniums with turn rate buff, and elite peregrines.

Doffs are: 2x purple hangar cooldown reduction doff, blue deflector power cooldown doff, blue doff for extra grav well chance, and one for chance of shield heal upon brace for impact. Thats what I have now and works fairly well for me.

I will deal with this either tonight or tomorrow morning, but Honey Cat doesn't have ANY good duty officers, and much less any that are good for a Vesta.

And in any case, the build will not be complete until I manage to obtain either Romulan T5, or enough Credits and Dilithium to get Elite carrier pets, whichever comes first.

I also say go for Elite Scorps, they launch a ton of plasma torps. They're basically like 12 bite-size kyubis with expendable Reman pilots (so like 12 Osusukes)...

*High pitch fox laugh* well the snout was fooled this time, but still close enough, M'Vore [Whom has a bit of a gender identity crisis anyway] doesn't care =^.^=!

While yes I've always known scorpions have highest damage potential (potential being key word here, can they always succeed in applying that potential? not always!), I just use peregrines cause I like them, and also as a match with my phaser loadout since they also help to bring shields down a little better than scorpions would against certain targets I believe. It just all depends what is being fought and how. They do have rapid fire which does contribute to shield lowering potential, while scorpions with their slow destructible torpedoes are a lot less reliable in some cases.

Well this is a PVE build, so you'll get to slap that disclaimer on your supposed victory, unless I pull a nasty change with one other build I could consider although I don't feel like fooling with it for a while.... I'll have to see what my work schedule allows.

you're telling me...but try getting hit by a subnuke, grav well, tyken's rift, tranny chronition torpedoes, whatever that wierd electrical thing the frigates use, and a whole crapton of fire from an entire battlegroup around one of those control points almost all at once...and somehow managing to survive it while wiping out the group with no help at all

god, i love my wells - and the thing only has the assimilated shields, which aren't exactly the strongest in the game

that happened to me yesterday morning, btw

Oh yeah, those voth turret areas are a pain in the aft to face alone, I've often had to use the quantum shield and every single panic power I've got at times, though it seems if I do not fire on the bulwarks I seem to take much less damage and then focus on the turrets and leave them behind, I think they have some sort of feedback pulse like power, but I've yet to understand the voth behavior very well and using scatter volley it's hard to avoid hitting them.

All I know is, they can be meaner than facing a borg tac cube all by yourself. It was a nightmare in my MVAE which doesn't have anywhere near the survival of my vesta which is set up like an escort, had to leave the clusters several times to heal up for a bit before dipping in to attack again.

that FBP-like thing on the bulwark, it's basically like the aceton field generator on the palisade science vessel - only supercharged

basically, don't fire on one of those ships with energy weapons when that golden half shield of theirs is up
