Y'know I've made several sci in the past, right? They were all just doomed to be slaves, like every one of my other nine not-Voporak characters.
I ask nothing but that you remember me.

Time for a ship build question. I am looking to tweak Winston's build a bit. At first, I thought about giving him a Rommy Torpedo Spammer, but that, and nearly any other Plasma build, is much better suited for Cruisers. For an Escort, the entire point is to deal massive damage straight out. To that end, what torpedo type would be best? I am torn between Photon and Quantum, and being unable to decide has left me at an impasse. Photon is slightly less damage per hit, but has a 6 second reload. But Quantum is higher damage per hit, with an 8 second reload. So should I go with higher damage per hit, or does a slightly faster reload make any difference?

I say stick with Plasma. It has a DoT effect that damages hull which does 100% Shield bypass.

Quantum. The photon may do a little more dps, but I have a perfectly good justification for quantum. You're in an escort, chances are you're not going to be facing the right way half the time, so the photon's little bit of extra dps is null.

Tricobalt is still currently one of the biggest jokes of torpedoes now, an omega torpedo launcher is much more reliable if you want a hard hitting high yield other than quantums.

I was making a joke Doc. Ever since the Trico mega-nerf I use plasma.

was a bit vague to me, :P! But I do believe it's possible to have a higher overall high yield impact with equal amout of tricobalt consoles than ambiplasma consoles for the omega torpedo, but unlike the omega, can only be fired once every 30 seconds even without high yield. Even a bio-neural is more likely useful still. Trics should have at most a 10/15 second cooldown, and even then I still question if they'd be properly useful.

Yeah but you said you were gonna level this Sci. Wait until you tank Elite Armek in CGE for the first time, you'll feel like a million bucks without realizing how absurdly easy Elite Armek is to tank...

I agree with the sticky, we're the best fleet out there for people with fur. For people without...spend 600 Zen to get a cat...

Use it AFTER the orbital strikes, and when close to Armek.

Mugato sux, I just outlast him with my amazing medical powers...

I discovered a new space under the Dilithium Mine today. By space I literally mean space!

Here's a pic of me spacewalking!

Also, before I forget about it, a few days ago me, Fluffy and Kyubi were on New Romulus: Staging Area playing with our flamethrowers. It didn't make us very popular with the people there, but it was fun...

Here's one pic and here's another...

There is also an underworld under the Defera Powerplant, as well as going underneath the Exchange floor at First City (down to the large room with all the Ferengi). Strangely enough, the underworld of First City is only accessible via the rooftops. And if you look at a map of ESD, you see the colour coded bands that indicate what part of ESD is for which purpose, like green for the bank and red for the shipyards. Turns out, those bands are actual physical objects. Once you glitch your way outside the windows, drop down to those bands, and you have this strange surrealistic Rainbow Road in open space! (Whomever gets the reference gets free cookies.) Let me know next time I am online, and I will take you for the tour of each location.

As for new Romulus, we were making people angry? I never have Zone or Local active, so I never saw anyone complaining. But I don't believe a few people way off in some small corner should be able to lag the entire map. I just don't see that as possible.

not sure what the reference is, but i remember one of the racing courses in the N64 version of mario kart was a rainbow track suspended in space

And actual patterns for our fur, such as full-body spot patterns. As for a female-only option (for authenticity), I would also greatly support the idea of a Tortoiseshell Tabby pattern.
